It is called scaremongering, and if you think that the side that s Trump does not also do it think again....many of them were saying that if Kamala wins, they government would take away their guns, indoctrinate their children to reject their family beliefs, destroy the family, force their kids to have abortions, and allow trans people free rein to abuse their children.
