Nigeria's Civil Defence Corps Cracks Down on Illegal Mining, SECURITYNEWSNG.COM reports.

In a bold operation, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has shut down an illicit mining site in Nasarawa State. Led by Commander ACC Attah John Onoja, the successful raid follows previous arrests of foreign nationals and locals involved in illegal mining.

Commander Onoja stressed the urgency of combating illegal mining, citing its devastating impact on Nigeria's economy and national security. He vowed to continue dismantling such operations, which he described as economic sabotage threatening the nation's prosperity and GDP growth.

These efforts demonstrate the government's commitment to combating illegal mining and promoting a secure and prosperous mining industry in Nigeria.

I can see some Chinese there. They walk around like they mistakenly walked into a mining sites, but in actual fact, these guys are the frontmen for some well organised and well run mafia groups. If you try this in China, na death penalty. Many Nigerians have died in Chinese prisons just because of residence permit issues. Just overstay your visa by a day, and you are caught, you will pay a fine roughly upto a thousand dollars. Thats after serving a mandatory term. Then you must pay for the ticket to deport you. From the prison to the airport. They are that ruthlessly efficient.

But here, because of how this country is being misgoverned and mismanaged, these same people, will come down here, get the of customs officials and other security agents who provide security to them as they roam around the bushes, mining solid minerals with no permits. Most of them don't even bother to go and extend their visas. That's how confident they are. You can't even open a retail outlet as a Nigerian in china today. But here, they dragging spaces with our poor retailers while the government that is supposed to protect the locals, looks the other way.

Throw the Chinese animals in jail!

Summary executions for all Nigerians found complicit!

This will send shockwaves and warning to all illegal mining operations in Nigeria that Nigeria will not tolerate illegal mining of lithium and other precious minerals

I miss the military!!!

You cannot execute the Nigerian just because he is Nigerian, and leave the Chinese to enjoy oloshos and chinese food delivery in prison.

They can all be jailed.
