The reverse of what you said there is also true.

Many of these companies leaving Nigeria are leaving because of FX losses. Nigeria had been substituting the USD for them for years. They then repatriate the USD to their countries.

Moreover, have you asked about the companies buying them off? Many of these companies are being taken over by indigenous business owners and other foreign companies as well.

In view of these, while it is a smart move to look inwards to know and understand why things happen, sometimes, it is not out of place to look outwards as well.

Well, Pick n Pay is also closing down most of their stores in South Africa. I don't think this is just a Nigerian problem.

Like banks closing down ATMs, pick n pay is going online in SA.

Can you imagine agbero economics by Wale you can't tax your way out of this problem you have created. Taxing companies that are just managing to stay up is not the way out. Tax break for new investors as long has they have more than 900 workers.

You want them to sell everything they imported without tax? Use your head, they are leaving because the way they enrich themselves have always been to the detriment of the country, new ones are coming up, indigenous, locally recognized ones.

Supermarket business is actually booming in the country.
This is a case of being stiffled out of the competition.

While some are packing up, Bokku Mart is busy spreading into every nook and cranny in the country.
Just pray you sell what they don't sell, because their prices are better.

The way you guys try go cover up bullshit is amusing.

There's no country on earth that doesn't provide incentive in one way or another to businesses. Your say government provides USD to them at subsidized rate, and you're making it seem it's their fault out FX is in the dumps?
And this nonsense of "they get taken over by local companies", if that's the case why is your government wasting billions of taxpayer dollars in gallivanting around the globe claiming to seek for investors?

Una dey tire me. it it, the APC government is a failure

A big shame that Nigerians are not only getting poorer but cannot afford basic meals again cos of a leader who doesn't have his people at heart all in the name of tribal and religious divides

I have no idea why Nigerians patronize these South African companies. The money they get allows them to take care of the South African people spreading propaganda against us on Social Media. I wish Nigerians will create a viral # to boycott all South African businesses in Nigeria.
Is it only SA companies leaving nigeria?
Besides did you read the part of partnership with leventis?

Obi would have been better because of his prudence and lack of impunity and extravagance.
Atiku would have been better because of his experience at the Federal level. There are many mistakes Tinubu has made which Atiku would not make because of his experience.

Wetin you dey talk sef? This is the sought after foreign investment. When a foreign company enters naija market they will provide much needed jobs. Forget where the company comes from. Our naija people never wan learn. Govt after govt keep bringing up policies that frustrate foreign investment in nigeria but they keep going abroad to beg for foreign company to come and invest in nigeria. Abegiii
