While violence must be unequivocally condemned, we must also avoid hasty judgments.

The bolt driver stated that he was struck three times and had his clothes torn to shreds simply for requesting that the lawmaker, Ikwechegh, step outside to collect his package.

We must also await a response from the lawmaker to achieve a more balanced understanding of the situation.

The lawmaker deserves respect as a prominent figure in this nation, and we must exercise caution in addressing these matters.

The bolded statement is stupid and ignorant... respect for what??

He was rude
Sitting in his car and telling a vip to come to his car to collect his goods is not how you run such errands.

Lets say some home truths here

If you can not stand a vip and you cant tolerate their shenanigans, dont get yourself into a business that will involve the vips. Simple

Painful part is nothing will be don to reprimand this bully that was made a lawmaker.
Such a pity

I wish they can ask him to tell us the number of people he has made disappear.

Bolt came to Nigeria before Uber. And you aren't addressing the matter, rather saying nonsense.
Huh? If you must correct others, at least establish that your FACTS are correct.

With little influence or power many of these guys reveal their maniac nature. Just give small appointment to some of them.

I don't expect any meaningful statement from the so-called lawmaker.

Bolt Driver Slapped By House Of Reps Member, Ikwechegh Finally Breaks Silence (Video)

By Wisdom Nwedene

A Bolt Driver who was slapped by a Federal Lawmaker, representing Aba North South Federal Constituency, Mr Alex Ikwechegh has finally broken Silence and revealed what happened.

In another video obtained by 9News Nigeria, the Bolt driver said he was slapped three times and his clothes shredded into pieces just because he asked the lawmaker, Ikwechegh to come out and collect his package.

According to him, " I just received three slaps and my clothes shredded into pieces from this man right now who claims to be a House of Reps Member".

"I didn't confront him or do anything bad to him. Please, I need help right now," the Bolt Driver said.

9News Nigeria had reported that in the viral video, the lawmaker can be seen slapping the driver multiple times. Later the driver asked him "did you just slap me three times?", which je replied, "twice and you will soon receive the third slap".

Also, in the video, Ikwechegh was heard telling the vendor that he can make the driver disappear and nothing will happen.

"I can make you disappear in the whole of Nigeria and nothing will happen. Do you know who I am?".

"I am a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and I can lock you up in my Generator House and nothing will happen," Ikwechegh said in the viral video.

He also said he won't ask the police officers protecting him to beat up the driver but will do it himself.

Meanwhile, the action has generated a mixed reaction on the social media.

As at the time of filing this report, efforts to reach Ikwechegh proved abortive.

This is uncalled for by someone in the corridor of power and who is representing his people at the national level. If a law maker in USA or UK should behave in the same way like that man behaved, pressures would have been mounted on him to resign and face the law enforcement agencies. This is highly condemnable.

Which respect does the lawmakers deserves? Their are lay down rules and these rules should be obeying no matter whose ox is gored. You are required to meet any dispatch rider outside or simply send ur domestic staff since ur feeling bigger than life. It is not appropriate for a dispatch riders to enter ur house not to talk of ur living room for their safety.
Have u seen how DHL behaves in the Abroad?

Na una type they rubbish. Later Una go dey blame T.pain. I don dey mark all of una wey dey talk rubbish for this matter matter and i was surprised to see even those who are critical of T.pain's government ing this lawmaker of a guy, for reasons best known to them.

Anyone that puts their hands on you for whatever reason, whilst in their service, deserves no respect from you. Dignity is knowing that serving others does not make you their servant. Anything less and you’re a slave. cool

Deserves respect?physically assaulting an individual is an uncouth behaviour.Such lawmaker deserves no respect. And what do you mean he is a lawmaker he deserves respect? He is a public servant. You deserve respect he equally deserves. He is not bigger than anyone.Being a lawmaker does not justify or give you the right to be throwing slaps around.

There is no evidence that the Bolt driver retaliated even though the Senator was begging him to do so.

You see your reason' i don't how he was slapped ' but you were even ing how a so called Honourable from LP, tears the man's Clothes,as you silently went to speak rubbish on Bolt drivers behaviours.
Is this how Obedients want to rule Nigeria,if given the opportunity?
Beside,One Senator too ,was involve recently in Illegalities,- he called people, claimed he wants to give them Laptops,in Kwara State and nothing was given to the Crowds.
Yet,these are the People making laws for Nigerians.
Nigeria is just in Circles of low lives deformed leadership Crisis and their wicked ers!
Why can't these people be Re- called back,as Legislatures?
