hardbody: What exactly did you think would happen? That You would have access to your funds to prosecute the war? You lost your money, that should have been the end of that story, Infact in most civil wars, whole ethnicities are systematically wiped out But Awolowo was a gentleman, if not you would all be muslims by now 1 Like |

stuffs2002: ....And the Igbos killed Saro Wiwa and the Ogoni 9 because of Ogoni land? I always laughed with relish whenever my project took me to Ogoni land, their kids walking around almost naked on bare feet within a terribly degraded environment - I the book, 'sunset at dawn' and how Ken sold out. He is continuing the fight now from wherever he is. The North remains Ogoni's best friend 5 Likes |

Everybody wants to break out,but no one wants to be seen as an enemy of the country the way some people are seeing Igbos now.The country is not making anybody proud because of her foundation but we are just pretending that all is well.I know that one day Biafra will go and other groups will also go.

hardbody:how ojukwu got his money is not my business, but from the books you read didn't you read that ojukwu robbed Nigerian banks? Didn't the book tell you biafrans that had their money in pounds were paid by their money? Didn't the book tell you that twenty pounds were only paid to people that had their money in biafra currency? Didn't the book tell you biafrans are the only losers of war that were paid after the war in Africa? Is it the books that asked you to be misleading people online with lies? |

Seun, your website is now a full blown circus where all kinds of animals come to throw vile insults at Igbos. What an eyesore! To the matter at hand, it is obvious that Nigeria can never work the way it is currently structured. We must go back to the regional system of government or watch Nigeria become another Yemen or Venezuela. Meanwhile, Gowon and co did what they had to do, in line with the masters of Nigeria's bidding (Britain). For me, Nigeria failed Igbos by allowing the pogroms of 1966 go on without stepping in. Tens of thousands of Igbos and southerners were massacred, and their bodies sent home in trailer loads. Aburi agreement or not, that alone is sufficient to declare Biafra, and rightly so. May the souls of those who have been lost to the injustice in Nigeria from 1914 till date continue to haunt the country until the right things are done, and until we entrench justice, equity and truth. We will never forget. 1 Like 1 Share |

The Nigerian civil war was a dark moment in Nigeria history. There was cases of abuse of human rights/ atrocities on both sides. The Nigerian army were brutal against the Biafran civilians , while the Biafran soldiers were also brutal against the Nigerian side. Bayelsa and Delta states bear the brunt of the Biafran soldiers. We have to move on, but there should be a deep healing process. Regional system will help initiate the healing process in my own opinion. |

Gowon is an example why you should do Evil... Karma doesn't exist... After the role he played in the war, one would think he would be long dead... But look at him today.... |

The blood of those innocent children & women massacred shall forever demand justice. Unfortunately, Nigeria will pay and continue to pay in blood... It's called WAR CRIMES for a reason! Gowon & all those responsible directly and/or indirectly HV their fate sealed in hell already! Not only did Gowon renege on The Aburi Accord that he signed-o, he also supervised medicine supplies blockage & gave Cameroon very Oil-Rich Bakassi Peninsula free of charge for cooperating in the blockage. Today, Russia & Ukraine are at war, yet, Russia did not block anywhere... For those asking why do so-called wicked people sometimes live long...just check this out: Ecclesiastes 8:11-13 [11]Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. [12]Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: [13]But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God. The irony is after drinking blood to keep Nigeria as one, Nigerians, today, are more divided & almost every major tribe wants out! Guz: Nigeria expired: 1914-2014! |

Thiefobi1: Sounds good sir, but why didn't he even sign that? Revisionism, denying history and outright myopic lies are the reasons why Nigeria is worse off today that before the war. You are contributing to our backwardness with these lies. Yesterday it was Igbos, today its middle belt, and surely it will be Yoruba turn tomorrow. 1 Like |

This people should just keep quiet I am a Yoruba man, my own brothers who were not soldiers were conscripted to fight in the war. Which one concerned my family and igbos fighting Nigeria. Many innocent Nigerians equally died in the war, many lost businesses and property. Ojukwu was warned by Wole soyinka, Awolowo, Professor Sam Aluko He said he was going to fight with sticks Useless people making unnecessary noise over the years 4 Likes 1 Share |

“If Britain could become a Great Britain with four nations called Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, Nigeria can also become a Great Nigeria with six nations created from the existing six geopolitical Regions. This is what the Nigerians want now. After all said and done, Nigeria needs to be restructured with the centre deconstructed for the country to truly make progress. Progress made during the regional systems of government are yet to be sured since then 1 Like |
