The onus is on you to factcheck any inaccuracies you see there. You asked for economic policies of yaradua, I gave it to you. Even though his time in office was brief but was memorable.

I don't want to be.harsh on you bro. I expect you to gives me fundamentals

Did you listen to the interview with the cbn MPC? You should listen to it and know where we are coming from. A position of absolute mess. See your fundamentals: excessively growing population, mono income economy, pure revenue base, poor GDP to tax ration, import dependent economy, high taste for imported goods with poor fx inflow, low food production, subsidy in every area, poor energy, crude producer but 💯 dependent on imported petroleum products, high level corruption, non performing sub-nationals etc etc.

If those reforms didn't impact on those fundamentals 4 years after then he has done nothing worthy of celebrating

Op these people you mentioned up there don't go to Sango, Ile-epo, Sango or Gbagi market to buy foodstuffs neither do they live on minimum wage which has now turn to dust and can't even take the earner a week to spend so how can they criticise what isn't directly affecting them?

The common man on the street still remains the yardstick to measure the policies of the government be it good or bad and this government is anything but good. Right now I can say power supply is the only aspect of the economy that has improved under this government.

Believe me if the common man can afford to feed comfortably daily then these hardship noise would reduce drastically but for now food is very expensive so how will the common man be happy or say government policies are working

At least you are being fair in your analysis, the price of food is very high due to the increase of our population and farmers leaving thier farms because of bandits and kidnapping in our forest. But will you blame Tinubu for vices that the past government allowed to spread?

Anyway you are appreciated, at least we can see how intelligent you sound

If I don't blame Tinubu do you want me to blame you? Are you the chief in Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? Did you make the make the various economic policies that has fluctuating since over a year ago?

The ball stops at the president's table and whatever the vices of the past government may be he ought to correct them and not make things worse for the citizens. The hardship is unbearable and I don't believe you have to make people cry or die before you do something nice for them.

The day the likes of Madam Ngozi, Adeshina and Soludo criticised Tinubu Economic Policy is the day I will follow suit.

These are experts in their fields and are well respected all over the world. But none of them has publicly criticised particular the fuel subsidy removal and the naira floating.

Why should I listen to people that feed on junks from social media to form opinion
Alaye keep consoling your self. Tinubu is a monumental failure

This is an uneducated comment to say the least and a nonsensical statement to say the most. The last time I checked, you can read a book and formulate your expert opinion about a topic you feel it addresses you directly. So why should I wait for the opinions of others to shape my own opinions?
Does that make any common sense to you?
If you feel Tinubu's policies are fine, so be it. If you feel they aren't, so be it. Therefore, we don't need the "Expert opinions" to tell us otherwise. Or are you unable to make decisions and formulate opinions yourself?
So on a good day, you are an expert in economics. Please what books did you read so that I can read too?

Removal of subsidy completely in a petrol dependent country is bad.
Plus mind u d subsidy was being paid underground till dangote started supplying

You think NOI has time for Nigeria corrupt leaders? She's focusing on the global stage now. How will Soludo criticise when he campaigned for Tinubu against Obi out of jealousy? Adeshina criticise Tinubu? He is focusing on continental matters.

Tinubu has failed woefully and if you need experts to tell you that then i don't know what to tell you. BTW, there's still petrol subsidy,
don't be naive

Soludo has been in the apc economic team even before becoming governor so how do you expect him to be criticising the economy he helped to create? Okonjo iweala is occupying a very sensitive international position how can you expect her to stoop so low to be playing nigerian kind of politics? If u have any brain u would have definitely figured out several times she indirectly and diplomatically criticised this tinibu's apc govt
No nigerian living in nigeria even needs a soludo or .okonjo iweala to know that tinibu's economic policies have impoverished nigerians almost everyone is currently complaining only those in govt don't feel what the ordinary nigerian in the streets are ing through.

EDITED:

I will be updating the thread with extracts from economic experts warning the leaders about the impending doom that has caught up with us today.

SOLUDO:
Below is extracts from one of Soludos numerous warning to Jonathan's government

Beside other issues we raised, our main thesis was that the macro economy was dangerously adrift, with little self-insurance mechanisms (and a prediction that if oil prices fell below $40, many state governments would not be able to pay salaries). I gave a subtle hint at easy money and exchange rate depreciations because I did not want to panic the market with a strong statement. Sadly, on the eve of the next elections, literally everything we hinted at has happened. Part of my motivation for this article is that five years after, the real debate is still not happening.

They must have given birth to you, yesterday.

You think tinubu is the pioneer of subsidy removal and flooting the naira?

Go and ask your elders how tinubu reacted and led others to react when Jonathan wanted to remove subsidy.

You dnt know the world bank n IMF has a hand in all naija economic policies. They are the ones who told tinubu nigerians are enjoying. Increase traffic on power n fuel prices!
Therefore, since the powers that be cannot talk, how much of our talks can change things?

So on a good day, you are an expert in economics. Please what books did you read so that I can read too?
I'm not an expert in Economics. But I can use my brain and read books that will enrich my knowledge about certain things in the society. A perfect example is concerning the Dangote refinery. From the actions of Dangote. I knew he will never sell fuel below what it was originally selling. But people didn't believe me. Now we see what has happened? We are buying fuel at available price not production price. So I didn't need an expert opinion to predict what-wills' and whatnots'.
Be informed don't wait for anyone to inform you

In order to sound logical you ended up roping yourself.

Everyone rely on information of others be it verbal or documented to form opinion. The purpose of education is impactation

Economics is not same letter writing. Economist rely on economic theories formulated hundred years ago to form opinion.

You didn't sound like you through secondary school
Neither did you with your ludacrious statement. I don't need to rely on any expert opinion to form my own. Do I need an expert to tell me that If you don't increase the purchasing power and reduce taxes on your people, you haven't reduced inflation? Even advance nations are paying subsidies on some essential items in their countries, so what makes Nigeria any different?
All what am saying is read and form your opinions, you don't need an expert to form yours for you. Do I need an expert to know why things are difficult in Nigeria? The "Expert" read and form his/her own biased and unbiased opinions, so you too read and form your own biased and unbiased opinions. Maybe you went to Secondary school and the school didn't go through you, and that's why you can't comprehend my statements.
