President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated individuals to serve on the inaugural Governing Board of the North West Development Commission (NWDC), News360 Nigeria gathered

The list of nominees has been submitted to the Senate for confirmation.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, made the announcement on Friday.

This development comes after President Tinubu signed the North West Development Commission Bill into law in July.

The NWDC is set to drive regional development initiatives in Nigeria's North West, with the newly nominated board playing a critical role in shaping its strategic direction.

The NWDC Governing Board Nominees are:

Chairman: Ambassador Haruna Ginsau (Jigawa)
MD/CEO: Professor Abdullahi Shehu Ma’aji (Kano)

– Dr. Yahaya Umar Namahe (Sokoto)
– Hon. Aminu Suleiman (Kebbi)
– Sen. Tijani Yahaya Kaura (Zamfara)
– Hon. Abdulkadir S. Usman (Kaduna)
– Hon. Engr. Muhammad Ali Wudil (Kano)
– Shamsu Sule (Katsina)
– Nasidi Ali (Jigawa)

“The nominated board are expected to contribute their wealth of experience and expertise to the Commission’s mandate of developing the North-West region.

“The NWDC will focus on catalysing significant growth, economic empowerment, and social development of the region.

No single Christian from NW in the list.

Kaduna is majority Christian ✝️ populated state

from Kafanchan Kachia Kujama Kaduna city and of course Zaria (Except Zaria City)


Kebbi Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Sokoto Jigawa and Kano ALL have high indigenous Christian population however minority except Kaduna.
