After the disastrous regime of Obaseki, why exactly should Edo State people still vote for PDP? Make it make sense.

Some of you talk foolishly as if political party is human being. . Nigerian are voting for individuals not a party.

Oshiomole remains edo best governor till today and he is APC. IPOB should take their reversed reasoning to SE.

I am of the opinion that it is not the name of a political party that makes people poor, its the people in the party that brings poverty! Almost all the top politicians in APC to were once in PDP and they couldn't change anything. Stop being emotional, it is called politics, not a religious meeting

The problem with your position is that you’re silent on the party and unintelligent character being positioned to rig themselves into power in Edo! I think you’ll find nobody is saying Obaseki and PDP are perfect, but placing them side-by-side with APC and the sticky-fingered criminals that represent them, Obaseki and PDP are saints and Lee Kwan-Yuw in comparison!

This is why i laugh at people who think they can use Nigerian institutions to effect the desired change they yearn for! These institutions….legislature; judiciary; army; police, INEC; etc, are firmly in the pocket of APC and Tinubu (formerly they were in Buharis’ pocket until he handed the baton of oppression over to Tinubu), and anyone expecting Tinubu to become all noble and upright all of a sudden would be sourly disappointed! The ruling hegemonic establishment prefers daft and naive Nigerians to continue with the status-quo in which they have weaponised poverty to ensure the masses are kept to heel and don’t upturn the apple-cart or shake the table! And this is also why, take it or leave it, the likes of Mazi Kanu and Sowore are their most feared adversaries!

That’s your opining and I don’t think the people of Edo state your your sentiments. Obaseki is a well educated and well spoken man with very good background in the private sector before becoming the governor. Still, he performed abysmally low. In addition, he was a dictator and a bully who fought just about everyone that once ed him.

Monday may not be as smooth as Asue in of oratory, he’s however a grassroots leader who has a good understanding of the problems of the state. Before yesterday’s election, he was the first person since 1999 to win a senate seat on the platform of a party other than PDP in Edo central senatorial district. That should tell you something about his popularity and acceptance to the people.

Even when APC primary for governorship was conducted and Oshiomole and his cronies manipulated the process to throw up someone else, party protested until the ticket was returned to him. Edo people know him and they trusted him more than Asue and the LP man. Democracy is all about the will of the people.

Its this your unwillingness to learn that is making your lose in all elections be it national or sub national.

It is not for me and you to decide who is better or not. All we want is for the wishes of Edo electorates to be respected. The candidate they voted for should be allow to rule irrespective of your opinion about him.

The time is unrealistic.
Nigerians can adapt too much to bad situations.
Governance now is on a record all time low. Positive change is needed.
