Wondering how safe it would be for a group of white women to travel to Nigeria. Is it just a bad idea and invites the wrong type of attention? What are the chances we can be out at night safely? Are there parts of the country to avoid? Thank you for your thoughts.

Very safe Just avoid northern, eastern cities entirely and you are good. Prioritize Lagos, abuja, portharcourt cities When you guys come to Nigeria first stay in high brow areas, hotels (might be expensive so you have to save up) example protea hotel Lagos, legend hotel Lagos To be double sure also save up and pay for police escorts to accompany in your movements especially at nights But generally if you are in high brow areas like the government reserved area which has night life's, clubs etc etc it is safe I encourage you to come and break the stereotypes People of all nationalities stay here. We have many whites here I will keep editing this and adding so keep coming back to this |

Abuja is very ok for you. It's the capital and one of the safest cities in Nigeria. Staying in the city center areas would be the best feeling and experience you'll ever have about the country. Good hotels, beautiful scenery and lots of fun areas. If you need to know more about the city. Send me a private message. emexicoman@ gmail.com |

Stay in Lagos or Abuja only. Lagos will be on the island. Get a trusted person to be your guide and you guys can rent a car and driver to move around during your stay. It's safer than Uber and the rest. You can also try Lagos public transportation, it's an experience you should have lol. If you have a guide, you are good to go |

Stay in Lagos and preferably on the island-lekki/ikoyi as these areas are safe, lively and highbrow. I can be your guide and drive you around the city. You can reach me via the cell phone# on my profile. |

Eljay9233: Thank you! Would you recommend staying in or near Lagos? Is it safe for them to go to night clubs and go dancing, meet local men? |
