Islie:These are the kind of frivolous budget items, Tinubu APC law makers inserted into the budgets and nobody can sight amongst Akpabio lead NASS. Yet they are telling us to tighten our belts, increased taxes for nothing meaningful to the life of citizens. Punishing Nigerians for non existence projects. We are all mute with this SUFFERING. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 43 Likes 6 Shares |

When did street light and empowerment of people become the duty of Cocoa research institute? See how we're just wasting money. The rich getting richer at the expense of the poor. 31 Likes 2 Shares |

These people take us for granted because we have allowed them to continue in their stealing frenzy for way too long. It is now a norm there seems to be nothing we can do about it.

History will not say the ronu destroyed Nijeyria, it will say the Yoruba did. And the budget of this institute will be one of the numerous examples made at the expense of the Yoruba race. ![]() 7 Likes |

Good information can be sometimes used for mischievous purposes. BudgIT has provided the facts, but did not provide a good background for the facts presented. It is a known practice for constituency projects to be embedded into the budgets of MDAs. The respective MDA is expected to contract out and oversee the implementation of the constituency project within the timeframe and voted amount as provided for in the budget. This method was adopted to ensure that constituency allowance for projects are not paid directly to lawmakers due to issues of mismanagement and/or corruption. The lawmaker is only responsible for identifying the project needed after due consultation with his or her constituents. Lawmaker is also expected to confirm that the constituency project was carried out. If you check the budget of different MDAs you will see voted amounts for constituency projects embedded on them. This has been the practice since the OBJ era. Let's be guided please. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

This is the work of your legislators. They merely use the institute as a tool to pad the budget for their so-called constituency projects. Nigeria will not progress as long as we continue with this corrupt legislative system that allows them to award funds and contracts to themselves.
