So, Edward, before becoming king, was having an affair with a married America woman, Wallis Simpson (try not to laugh).... Yeah you read that right.......her surname na Simpson......

Stay with me..........When Edward VIII became king after his father the king died....he wanted to marry Wallis, who had now divorced her husband (second divorce by the way).

But the monarchy was not having it, including the Church of England, all the powers that be at Buckingham palace, Wales, etc., said .."We no go gree"....."u cant marry a divorcee"

When Edward the VIII, couldn't have his way to marry Wallis as a king, the monarch abdicated. Yeah, he relinquished his right to the throne for love & of course, a two time divorcee ........Well, now would not be a bad time to say fear women )...

News flash...... Edward VIII never had children(maybe his fault or Wallis)......so the throne may have ed to his brother, George VI anyways, and would have somehow ended up with Queen Elizabeth II...
