IMF, World Bank, and other creditors through their Nigeria representatives and foreign counterparts advised Nigeria to remove fuel subsidies and float the Naira. Today Nigeria has succumbed to their demands by removing subsidies and floating the naira, consequently resulting in inflation and hunger. Suddenly, IMF and World Bank spokesmen have gone mute, leaving the government of the day to leak his wound. Is it not glaring that foreign financial institutions have once again failed us?
