Chinkoalhaji34: Good talk but Tinubu should Sack ALL those NNPC - From head to anyone above 5- years there, they are all Corrupt,Just like DISCOS-as those who Own them are pure Parasite to the Masses. Are they Saying Other People can't do their Jobs,so then let them go away, that Nigeria would have Peace. The Oil-Cabal is deceiving Tinubu and will never allow Dangote to have his mind, to determine the good- Price For Nigerian People. It's going to be one- Day On and one Day Off- like NEPA/ DISCOS -because they are hiding the TRUTH from NIGERIANS. 1 Like |

budaatum: Dangote's major market is Nigeria. Once out of Nigeria, he has to compete with the rest of the world and that is where competitors will kill him. To sell in Nigeria, he must sell at a price competitive with NNPC and that will be at a big loss. Dangote can't compete without the of the government. Sadly, government is also in a very difficult position right now. We need forex to defend the Naira and meet import and loan obligations and we also want to give Dangote enough to help him stabilize. There is no easy decision to make in all of these. There is only one long term solution, we need to invest massively in crude oil production. We must get our daily production to something around 3m bpd if we truly want to sell at a pegged Naira price to Dangote without any backlash. For now, we will keep blowing grammar without any movement. 3 Likes |

MasterJayJay: At the bold, it would have been better if they used our crude to pay for loans, at least we would know we are not owing any debts any more. The reality is the actually used our crudes to obtain loans . We don't even know what they did with the loans and no body is asking questions. 1 Like |

I hope Nigeria still has some oil blocs onshore or offshore which can be sold to Mobil, Chevron or Total in exchange for their current crude oil production. They can work out the discount rate to be applied to the oil blocs. This will ensure Dangote gets more than the required crude oil for his refinery. This is a simple solution out of this.... NNPC does not have enough crude to supply to Dangote Refinery.

The President only gave the order to satisfy those who felt he was sabotaging Dangote. Where am even waiting for is at what price Dangote will sell cos or will Govt still go ahead to pay him subsidy to regulate price? I hope those who have been sympathetic to Dangote won’t turn around to accuse the govt again of failing to control Dangote by the time he descends on Nigerians. Fingers crossed |

budaatum: 4:14pm On Jul 30, 2024 |
seunmsg: I do not see why Dangote's major market must be Nigeria especially since there is no way Nigeria can consume what that refinery can produce when at full capacity. It is the largest this side of the world after all. All he has to do is produce cheaper than others. And yes, I know that's simply said but almost impossible considering government would not only not but even throw obstacles in his way. Seriously. I can't understand why he'd build such a huge refinery without first owning upstream to supply it. Its like Shell not owning crude supply for its daily 404,000 barrels capacity Pernis plant in Netherland, which is stupid if one asked me, and which makes me wonder if Dangote Refinery wouldn't become another Nigerian white elephant

bemeruca: You seem to be reasoning through your anus, that you are still crying over split milk! What did GEJ and his Sanbo Deputy got for Nigeria,so much that Dezani looted the place,as Petroleum Minister and you now wants to lecture us on your GEJ performance! • How Many Infrastructures did PDP built - for 16- years( the Roads, the Railway, the Lights( NEPA) ,etc, and what improvements did he brought to Nigeria- during his 6- years? -Thank God that Mrs Okonji-Iweala - was warning (even the Governors at that time -were on her) saying -they should Save the Surplus Money from the Crude-Oil,but all fell into the deaf ears Or were you not in Nigeria at thet time? Please, leave your fake history and know that Wasting our Resources, through Corruption, have repacusions! What Nigerians are suffering today are Past-Mismanagement of Our Resources, including the past Military.e g .we refused to put Refinery in Order by Importing Fuel, just to deceive Nigerians, than maintaining the 4-Refineries in Nigeria. Our Leaders should be ashamed that we let the 30% Youths to be Unemployed. Shame everywhere, while Creating Jobs to the Whiteman - who Supplies Fuel to use through Manipulation of Banks Importations Arrangements, which also affects the Naira Value. 1 Like |
