Lagos is crime riddled. Within a year, I lost two phones to thieves. Lived in Abuja for 7 years, never lost a penny. Kano for about 15 years, never lost a penny and few cities overseas, never lost a penny.

International Airport, the busiet in Nigeria and possibly west Africa.. then building another Airport, dangote refinery.. the busiet seaport in Nigeria, possibly west Africa... most companies have presence in lagos..

It's is good for IGR no doubt but what about infrastructures and maintenance of the infrastructures?? Work life balance of the residents?

The livability index shows how convenient it is for the dwellers of a city to move, get things done and do business conveniently. Lagos used to have a high livability index until the children of perdition from afghanistEastern found their ways into Lagos.

All social and economic infrastructures are now overstretched. Criminal activities have attained unimaginable level all because of the sons of Zik. We are however thankful for the activities of men of the Nigeria Police for neutralizing nine Igbo kidnappers over a fortnight ago. Since that incident, we've not heard of any kidnap attempt in Lagos.

Lastly, it shall not be well with Lord Lugard for packing cannibals to dwell with refined people.

But those who want to mock Lagos should have a rethink... because your own land is probably not any better in of physical infrastructure and investments.

This is one of the reasons why the coastal highway is a waste of scarce resources.

The investment should have been in developing the existing seaports to make them more attractive and commercially viable.

This would help reduce the pressure on Lagos ports, reduce the population of people, reduce businesses located in lagos strictly because of the port business and spread wealth as other cities would be able to develop better.

London is over populated, Shanghai is overpopulated, same as other commercial cities, population is not a concern or factor to be a global standard. With a large economy, if given to Paul kagame or king of dubai, or that man in China, we would have a Lagos that overrides big cities. Bad governance is a thing, but no, the masses praise them, when they do 10%

If I were rhe Lagos State government, I would not pay too much to these contrived ratings. Rather, the government should double down on efforts to change the narrative.

Just focus on completing some of the ongoing infrastructural projects, especially the light rail projects.

As far as I am concerned, they are on the right track and very soon, it will become clear to everyone that Lagos is the best among equals.

Much as Lagos is the center piece of Nigeria’s development, the truth about the wickedness of our leaders must be told.

With so much resources wasted and looted into private pockets, Lagos should be much more developed than it presently is. Lagos is a signpost to to how poorly developed other cities in Nigeria are. With faeces everywhere, horrible roads and very poor (but highly unaffordable electricity), poor water, poor hygiene, insecurity, etc, when will the Nigerian leaders allow Nigerians live good lives. I visited a friend at Okokomaiko some years ago. As we were going to my car, we saw one mama put and decided to eat hot fufu and egusi soup. As soon as we settled down to our food, I looked to the right side beside one open mosque and saw one man openly shitting and the said shit commoting from the yansh. I nearly vomit the food. Okokomaiko people, which kind life una dey live sef?
