She/they were productions chosen winner right from the onset. Bringing the drc was a way of gathering pity votes /arisers for her. So I'm not surprised she will be winning

Lmao

Wait till you see the final result dear

There is a reason threebear is called ikorodu Deloitte🤣🤣

Her fans voted and she won.
The margin isn't that big either .

As at Wednesday she was in third position, the innoson car sealed the victory for her 😁

Threebear… this is also your post

N3TRAL:
The viewers want a fine girl whether she has good character or not, so if you're an Erica the team will select you, and nobody is rejecting a Nengi-looking babe to pick a Funke Akindele-looking babe.

The viewers want a pretty lady, so whether you're introverted like Victoria or not, you'll be selected.

The viewers want a fine young man with links to "old money wealth", so whether you're Kiddwaya or Mbadiwe, you'll be selected.
If one of those Okoya's young boys driving Gen-z babes crazy on Tiktok auditions for Big Brother Naija, he'll be selected before they consider an Igbo guy.

There's a limited slot for hustlers. Anybody with determination to break out will get this slot, usually and struggling musicians.

There's a slot of big nyash or BBL 😆

If you're perceived to be too old, the viewers do not want you.

There's also a slot or two for married people.

There's a slot or two for Nigerians living abroad.

Viewers want a ship.

Think of Bollywood. The producers want mostly actors/actresses that the Indian beauty standards so that Zeeworld fans can be delulu.

Most of the slots in BBN are for people with good looks, so the Igbos tend to dominate than the Yorubas.

So if you're Mike Edwards, Teddy A, Sheggz, Tobi etc that babes will drool over in the house, you're more likely to be selected than a Laycon-looking igbo.

I don't agree with most of the claims you've made here (especially the ones with tribal distinctions), but I agree with the general sentiment expressed in your post that the viewers choice of who to is often based on superficial preferences and not necessarily personality or talent, which mostly explains why "gameplay" or "strategy" is useless in BBN.

As much as I enjoy the Big Brother concept as a whole, there's a lot of things I never liked about our version of BB since I started watching it as a hardcore fan back in 2019, and I never paid much attention to it because realistically there weren't any good alternatives for me in of Nigerian reality TV, but this season has amplified those flaws to the point I can't ignore them anymore. I'm probably done watching the show after this season. Maybe it's the way production handled it this year, but the show format and general vibe doesn't appeal to me anymore.

So Rhuthee trended last night despite not being at the party. If there's ever going to be another Al star season, I believe she has earned herself a slot. Hopefully age will still be on her side.

She’s not really relevant without WxH, and WxH don’t need her. Doubt they’ll bring in anyone from this season, maybe Chinwe because she was actually the most interesting contestant.

The most underwhelming bbnaija season is coming to an end, thank goodness.

It's time for multichoice to take at least a 2 yrs break. There is nothing coming out of the show again, going on a break might bring back the buzz

Alphagan:

Private enterprises often fail due to poor decision-making. Even when advised to be culturally aware and be sensitive to local sentiments, they sometimes ignore sound counsel for ulterior motives. It's easy to forget that in the boardroom, where decisions are made, it's human beings (emotional and biased by nature) who are seated.

Are we not all witnessing the impact of their bias in the name of "profit optimization," on the show's ratings and audience engagement? The show must first exist and thrive before profit can be optimized.

The skewed selection process clearly reflects parochialism and nepotism. It mirrors the typical Nigerian mentality where those who are fortunate to be at the top often tribalize the entire process.

The organizers must realize that their approach is unsustainable. It breeds distrust and destroys camaraderie.

I'm one of those who insist that Tinubu himself isn't a tribalist at his core, even as at 2015 he distanced himself from the utterances of the water-bender Oba of Lagos threatening Igbos.

Tinubu only switched to ethnic-baiting when he noticed there was already a mass sentiment of prejudice among his people specifically towards Igbos. This is what he keyed into with catch-phrases like "Sedibebere" or "Awalokan" or "DefendLagos" or "SWAGA '23". He understood that prejudice is a blind sentiment that doesn't bow to logic, truth or even justification. This is the sentiment evident in your very very senseless comment.

In BBNaija of all things you're asking for federal character, how?! It's this same stinking sentiment that TJay, a medical doctor living abroad with WHITE people, still stubbornly held on to. It's this same excuse for a mentality that made Teni Makanaki, a rumoured lesbian entertainer in a very liberal Nigerian creative industry, still have the presence of mind to go the ethnic-baiting route in of Laycon during the Laycon/Erica (Icons vs Elites) beef.

Let's not even look at the fact that the Nigerians in charge of Multi choice have been consistently Yorubas, what makes you think BBNaija is a place for tribalism?

Even with the raw shege Tinubu is showing EVERYBODY equally (with people queuing for bread in Lagos), this evil dark spirit of baseless ethnic prejudice that's neither justified, understandable, or even open to logic & historical facts, is still disturbing you so much that you can't watch BBNaija in peace as a temporary escape? You dey mad? 😡

I'm throwing a VIP socialite party in Lagos & i need 20 clean, thick,well-spoken women invitees to really catch the attention of my VVIPs . Do you really think i would care WHERE the girls came from?!

If 20 fine faces, guys and girls, can boost my TV production, you think i would care about their ethnicity? During the Level-Up season it was Sheggz to Deks to Modella to Deji to Doyin that provided many highlights. Bisola, Tobi & Laycon are still some of the biggest legit stars to come out from the show.

What in the world is wrong with you? Is this a dark spell or what?

In my view, the selection for Big Brother Naija is always biased. Out of 28 housemates, like 7 are from the Yoruba group and i think 14 are from the Igbo group, meaning two zones make up 75% of the participants. The uneven distribution does not fairly represent the country's diversity since one of BBN goals is to showcase a broad spectrum of Nigeria's diversity, even thou they might have choose based on audience demographic and market preference sha. Still on still, it shows favoritism towards certain regions, making the selection process seem biased.

Is Victoria and Onyeka the same person?

N3TRAL:
In a predominantly white country, if there is an intent to train 5-year-olds for future elite marathon careers, the Kenyan or Ethiopian child in the class will likely be chosen over any white child. Similarly, if the goal is to train for Olympic sprint events like the 100 or 200 meters, children of West African descent will be favored over their white peers.

In contrast, an average white child has a better chance of being selected for a swimming competition than an average Black child. Despite America’s rivalry with China, Asian-Americans tend to be favored to represent the U.S. in table tennis or global math competitions.

List the top 10 girls considered to be pretty on the show from each season in no particular order an the average viewers will mention:

Kim Oprah- Igbo
Erica- Igbo
Nengi- Bayelsa
Maria- Igbo
Venita- Delta
T-boss- Edo
Victoria - Igbo
Kassia - Bayelsa
Beauty - North
Saskay- North

Those with peculiar facial features and exotic beauty seem to come from the Northern minorities who are Christians.

I'm not saying that those from the aforesaid regions in Southern Nigeria are the prettiest, nope.

There are thousands of pretty tall, sexy Hausa-Fulani babes "littered" across Abuja but they're not going to audition because they're majorly Muslims and even if they do audition, no sane audition team is selecting a pretty Fulani babe into a house with cartons of alcoholic drinks and handsome Bachelors ready to kiss their lips and suck their nipples during a truth/dare game. We've seen how Kannywood actresses are tortured for revealing skin and how most Northern states do not even produce their indigenes to represent in "Miss Nigeria" contest.

Islamic conservatism reduces participation from Northern regions, leaving Southern Nigeria as the primary demographic pool for such shows. Whether it's a show like Keeping up with the Kardashians or Love Island, good looks are essential to attracting viewers.

Among male contestants, Yoruba housemates such as Tobi, Mike Edwards, Seyi, and Sheggz have advanced far in these BBN, partly due to their physical appeal.

Conversely, contestants like Dami and Toyosi were eliminated early, due to a lack of immediate appeal. Week 1 relies heavily on appearance, as viewers have not yet formed opinions on contestants' personalities.

When thinking of the most successful Yoruba female housemate, Bisola often comes to mind. While she advanced far due to her talent, her appearance played a lesser role in her selection. Even Laycon, who won the show, secured victory largely through sympathy votes, not because of his looks.

Ultimately, the selection process for Big Brother Naija places a significant emphasis on appearance, as they are designed for entertainment, not talent competitions like America's Got Talent.

Consequently, regions with a higher perceived concentration of attractive individuals tend to dominate the show.

Kassia is from Delta State, not Bayelsa, isoko by tribe. Beauty and Saskay are from Taraba

Everyone of us know it.

They might just want to trend by not letter Kelly Rae win and giving it to Wanni as alleged by Threebear that Wanni and Vee are top 2
