The Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has tasked Nigerian political leaders to learn a lesson from the recent Kenyan experience.

Obi made this call on Sunday via his official X handle while reacting to the recent rally against proposed tax hikes by Kenyan citizens.

He lamented that Nigerian political leaders use public funds to pay media thugs to insult and abuse those who speak truth to power.

He challenged Nigerian leaders to refrain from such habits and start making sacrifices for the greater good of the suffering masses

“We, the Nigerian political leaders, should take a strong lesson from the recent Kenyan experience. When the Kenyan public realized that their government was not making sufficient sacrifices and prioritizing resources effectively, they spoke out, demanded change,

“We resort to using public funds to pay media thugs to insult and abuse those who speak truth to power.

"True change and progress will require leaders who are sincere, willing to listen, act responsibly, and prioritize the welfare of the people over personal or political interests. If we make the necessary changes and make the needed sacrifices, a new Nigeria is possible,” he said.

Time is coming. Tinubu's clueless and can't do anything to salvage Nigeria. The earlier he's booted out the better

What is left of the country more refinedly destroyed by the political elites who should be prioritizing the people but are instead making themselves the centre stage of governance by blindly stealing of public funds.

The country is no more better destroy than this my brother

Wow, let's all take advice from Obi, the master of losing elections and leading mobs in China and Pandorra while drinking whiskey on the side.

Peter hiked tuition fee, students protested, he replied with Education is not for the poor, today he's dishing out advice.
Today, he's sincere, willing to listen and prioritizing welfare of the people.

Good but the Kenya economy is not good too, the politicians will still have their way especially in Africa sooner or later. They will keep borrowing money to sustain their economy and will be shifting the economic woes to the future. It may not be clear now, but few years later, they will understand what am saying. Kenyans youth should not rejoice yet, the real economic problems will land later when the international creditors are on their neck, and the loans the acquired would be difficult to pay. African leaders are thieves, scammers and wicked.
