In a chat with journalists to mark the one year anniversary of the Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emeruwa (LP), Speaker of the House had threatened to revoke all contracts with Innoson Vehicles in 15 days time, if vehicles for Assembly were not provided despite full payments by the Abia Government.

Questions might be asked on why we haven't had our vehicles till now! It's because of some business people that are untruthful, because right from the onset the Governor or this istration wanted to promote local content, that's why we resolved to go by innoson vehicles.

Innoson has received all the money required for him to produce the vehicles for House of Assembly but he has reneged more than 10 times from releasing those vehicles.

Yes, the one my Deputy and I are using was already procured by the Governor and because of the need for us to have something on ground, he gave us those ones made for him.

Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa
Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly

PRESS RELEASE

Innoson Vehicles Responds to Allegations by Abia State House of Assembly.

Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing, a leading automobile manufacturer, would like to address the recent allegations made by the Abia State House of Assembly regarding the fulfillment of our agreement to produce vehicles for all the lawmakers.

First and foremost, we would like to clarify that the vehicles ordered by the Governor for the of the Abia State House of Assembly were a special vehicle that required the production of a new frame, which was not previously produced at our factory. In accordance with the Governor's initiative to promote local products, we took this project very seriously and produced a sample for approval by the Governor. During this process, the Governor suggested some remodifications, which we promptly implemented to meet his specified requirements.

As at today, we would like to inform the public that we have completed all modifications and have addressed any initial defects. The new model vehicles are currently undergoing rigorous testing at our quality control section. We are pleased to announce that the vehicles will be ready by the end of this month and the supply will be completed by the beginning of next month.

In response to the statement made by the House of Assembly regarding payment, we want to emphasize that we have not received any payment for the vehicles ordered for the Abia State House of Assembly . When His Excellency requested payment, we made a conscious decision not to accept any payment until the vehicles are finally produced and delivered. Therefore, the House of Assembly's claim that payment has been made is inaccurate.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Abia State for their continued and patronage. We want to reassure them that we have taken significant measures to prevent future delays and uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles.

Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Ltd remains dedicated to providing excellent products and services to our esteemed customers. We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter.

YET the USELESS Politician went to the media to bouth and THREATEN a legitimate business.

It's even WORSE when you consider the fact that IVM is taking a HUGE risk by manufacturing the products BEFORE receiving payments from politicians in Nigeria.

EEDC is learning the hard way in Enugu. Used their services, refused to oay and locked their offices.

If the Legal System in Nigeria wasn't such a joke, IVM would have sued this Speaker so hard even his third generations would turn to BAMBIALAS just to pay off the settlement.

Innoson should expand to accommodate for this kind of demand. They are no longer a baby car manufacturing company.

By the way, why should the speaker personalize it. He should not be addressing Innocent Chukwuma, but the company directly.

Now that Innoson as the company has responded to their reckless conclusion about finance, hopefully we can have peace. Also I hope that payment would not be an issue after the vehicles are supplied.

How can you say the vehicles are undergoing testing and also confidently say they would be ready by end of the month.

That means you're ruling out any possibility that the test might throw up any new corrections.

That's the equivalent of predicting the result of an exam that is still ongoing.

That raises a question about the propriety of the test.

This is all ado about nothing. Lack of communication between the speaker, Innoson and the governor. This is something that should not be in the press at all.

I am rooting for you here Innoson
