Nollywood actress and producer, Toyin Abraham has defended her decision to President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 elections. Recall that after the election, Abraham made a post saying she met with the then incoming President and that he shared some of his ideas with her on how he plans to solve some of the challenges confronting the country. Following the increasing hardship in the country, Abraham has being receiving backlash for her role in bringing the the current government to power. Reacting to the backlash during an Instagram Live session Tuesday, the actress said she would no longer tolerate the constant cyber bullying of her family because of her political choice. She emphasised that Nigeria is a democracy and she has the right to and vote for whoever she wants. The movie star also refuted claims that she was paid to Tinubu. “Years back, I wanted [Goodlcuk] Jonathan, everybody wanted Buhari, you guys bullied me. I have never for once ed my frustrations at anyone. Some people keep saying I don’t owe anyone any explanation, you think it is easy? Every day, they put up a picture of my children and be cursing my children every time. Because you guys feel I am an emotional person, I would always let things slide.
