I done taya self .naa everyday mtn they threaten me to link my nin despite linking it successful over time, infact i was in there office did sim swap sometime last year.yet they keep texting me recently and threaten me of blocking my line, i just they look them with one bad eye sha.

GLO is the most useless network so far. I have ed and linked my NIN to my sim more than 5 times and they send me messages that your NIN has been verified and linked to your number, the next 2 days they send another sms saying line will be blocked. What arrant nonsense is this? This country is sick and Nothing is working. I am keeping their messages should in case of anything then I will tender them as evidences. To call their customer service na story. I even sent email to their customer care over a month now, no response. Terrible

Confused set of people, nothing that can be done 💯% without giving us fault, same way we link our BVN to banks I am still hearing that they will be asking for NIN so what’s the point of linking BVN in the first place? Nigeria government need to develop a security system that works, put up a single data base to track everybody information in the country stop suffering Nigerians

Except you're now telling us that that database is not foolproof and itting the country just wasted and spent billions of Naira buying and paying for untested and compromised database system

It happens especially with official lines. They give you sim when you start working and then you with your NIN then when leaving the organisation, they ask you to drop the sim. They employ another person who uses same sim and then add his own NIN. If they do an audit trail, they will see that there are two NINs on that sim.

This is the exact case, every one of these NCC and NIN guys should be arrested for wasting billions on a mediocre database system.

The agents ae the reasons for this. My NIN was linked to two numbers without my consent.

I have my NIN linked to my two mtn lines, one is barred from making calls, the other is working just fine.

This nothing but total bs. That should have been. The headache of the telecom guys and not the citizens. How come Airtel is not bordering people too much. Simple software that will link NIN to ones mobile phone profile , they cant get. The trouble of going to que up at one telecom office should have been something in the past. This is not acceptable. We were stressed beyond limit to them in the first place which means the directive if the former minister was just taken with levity by those who should do the right thing.

In a sane country those whose Sim are blocked after linking their Nin will be compensated but every thing that are abnormal in other climes is seen as normal in Nigeria .

If authorities are serious about solving this issue, they should investigate and prosecute those who allegedly duplicated subscribers' NINs (isn't that fraud punishable by up to 2 years in jail?).

No way, I used an official company line and it was ed in the company's name. My biometric was not taken and I was only issued the phone by our telecoms after ing in the company name. The Telecoms guys in the office maintained a spreadsheet of phone assignment within the company and has nothing to do with putting the NIN on it as the company officially owns the line in the records of the Telcos

After suffering nigerians to get the NIN.... what benefits is the NIN to nigerians now ?
