Police Operatives From Utako Police Divisional Headquarters have apprehended a couple and one other person involved in ‘one chance’ robbery.

The Trio, Consisting of Chukwudi Okorie (51 years old, male), Chibuzor Okorie (43 years old, female), both husband and wife, and Esther Gabriel (38 years old, female), all residents of Akaraka Gwagwa, Federal Capital territory (FCT), were arrested in connection with a series of robberies, particularly ‘one chance’ activities within the FCT and its environs.

A Statement Issued on Thursday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, read: “During interrogation, the suspects confessed to carrying out a series of ‘one chance’ related activities in the FCT before their apprehension.

“A Blue Mazda Car with Reg No. FCT 590 EV, an operational vehicle used by the syndicate to perpetrate their heinous acts, was recovered from one of the suspects.

The Spokesperson added that while the investigation is still ongoing to apprehend other accomplices, the Commissioner of Police FCT, Haruna G. Garba, wishes to reiterate his unflinching commitment to ensuring FCT remain a safe and peaceful place for residents to stay without fair from any quarters of the Territory. He equally urges the populace to keep up rendition of distress calls and report suspicious activities through the following emergency lines: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883.
