$33Billion?

And Texas budget for 2024 alone is $321.3 billion
(Just one state in America 🇺🇸)
It is well.
We rest our case.
it is very sad that this is what the so-called biggest economy in Africa can present.

we really need to diversify our economy and tap into several areas.

The GDP of the state of California is more than the entire continent of Africa

N700 to a dollar is unrealistic! It should be minimum of N1500.

I thought PBAT's manifesto mentioned a radically different view on budgeting, departing from the traditional budgeting process to a zero based, clean sheet budgeting. It is time to show working. N18trn revenue projection is a huge target considering that we hardly generate more than N8trn in revenues in the past few years. How will it be done?

It is easy, N750/$ instead of the N400 plus used in the past. Also, no more subsidy.

Nigeria is not a rich country, and seriously needs to increase TAXATION, especially of the rich, as well as corporate tax.

We have this idea that we are a very rich country whose wealth is only being squandered by the leaders.

That’s nonsense.

Absolute tomfoolery.

Even with zero corruption, we would hardly see a difference in living standards.

South Africa’s annual budget is $120 billion with just 65 million people.

USA annual budget is over 7 TRILLION Dollars.

UK, , each have an annual budget of over 1.5 TRILLION Dollars.

TINUBU’S BIGGEST TASK IS TO RAISE NATIONAL INCOME.

I like people with optimistic mind.....

The wailers can decide to see corruption
But just like Caleb and Josh we decide to see greatness in the birth of new Nigeria under the leadership of president Tinubu.
Where is the evidence of Buhari 8 years? Your are yet to see break down how the money will he spent and you are optimistic...lol. A serious government that is asking ppl to make sacrifice but yet to make their sacrifice and you are optimistic. A president is collecting from both state and federal just like his ministers all in the name of pension and you are optimistic...lol Tbe greatest problem of this country is the citizens

God bless Asiwaju,God bless Nigeria.
I believe the figures for next year's budget are very realistic and workable
A revenue projection of 18trillion, meaning we will borrow 9 trillion,I believe this is a far better projection than what Baba Buhari put together in his last 3 years.
But in all fairness to Baba Buhari, the removal of the fuel subsidy by Asiwaju has really increased the revenue profile of Nigeria.
Hopefully there will be some form of salary increase in the budget to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.
But as a man who loves to play with figures,I have to talk Again about the Dangote Refinery.
If you put the figures Alh Dangote mentioned he will generate from his Refinery paripaso with what Nigeria is projecting to earn Next year, then only a blind man will refuse to understand the enormous giant that's about to unleashed.
The Refinery is projected to earn around 15 billion dollars next year,if converted at the black market rate is almost equal to what Nigeria as a country will earn in the same year.
One company will generate as much revenue as a country, that should excite any investor.
I repeat again, don't miss any opportunity to invest around the Refinery.
Still selling LAND around Ibeju-lekki
God bless Nigeria.

The problem with Nigeria Government is that they do not tell the citizens the truth. If the beach mark of crude oil production is 1,250,000 per day at the price of $73 per barrel at the rate of #700. What it means is that the country will generate the sum #22,739,500,000 from selling of crude oil alone. Talk of custom, FIRS, Telecom tax, Bank tax, solid minerals, aviation, Grant's from foreign countries. Etc. When you finish calculating this, you will see that there's no need for FG of going to borrow extra 9 trillion. Fiance the budget.

It is important that government reduces corporate tax to 15% or less. This should ignite an investment led economic boom.

The CBN must also tackle inflation by increasing interest rates. This is the elephant in the room. The t20 biggest beneficiaries would be the FG and the economy.

If the government is hoping an influx of foreign exchange to strengthen the Naira which by in turn reduce inflation, it would be disappointed in the medium and long term.
But with the exchange rate quoted, is it not obvious the govt is not looking for the naira to strengthen next year? 750 is still very high if you consider where we were in May when this govt took over

This is an interesting perspective o.
At the new benchmark, it's actually 23trn from oil alone. But maybe some of the oil revenue is already tied up in some contracts. You know our govt now

You didn't factor the production costs and profit sharing (called production sharing contracts) with the IOCs that actually pump out the oil. Also take note that some of our own share from barrels produced are already commited to forward contracts with some entities which must be adhered to.
