is it different from the tokens you generate from their site? Because I have done that process it worked when trying to recharge. Subsequent recharge is the issue now cos it's rejecting tokens

Try go very near the outdoor box before punching in the recharge token, so that it can communicate with the UIU.

i have the same issue and i am using edmi

Oh! In my case, I bought token but it didn't come with KCT, so I generated the KCTs for me and my neighbour using Conlog, on their site and it worked. We were even able to both load multiple recharge tokens.

God bless you bro. You are a life saver

Murzmann:
You can fix it in just 2 steps below:

Step I:
Enter your meter number and NIN to link your NIN to your prepaid meter in under 2 minutes using this link-
https://smartkyc.ikejaelectric.com/

Step II:
After linking your prepaid meter to your NIN, go ahead and make an electricity purchase on simply buy units from your bank app or Anywhere else. You will receive 2 sets of tokens separate from the light units tokens you bought. These 2 tokens are called kct1 and kct2.

Enter the 1st set of token into your prepaid meter and press enter. Enter the 2nd set of token into your prepaid meter and press enter again. Your meter will migrate successfully.

Step III
You can now enter your unit tokens to load successfully and wil not see a rejected message when next you load.

Most common problem
If you have linked your NIN to your prepaid meter and you have made a new electricity unit purchase but did not receive your ktc tokens or only received incomplete tokens, then click the link below and enter your meter number to receive your two sets of kcts:
www.Ikejaelectric.com/kctcheck

For some weeks now, Ikeja Electric have been talking about its customers upgrading their meters. It seems the upgrading is causing lot of problems because their customers have been finding it difficult to load tokens thereby putting them in darkness.

After loading the KCT tokens that was generated from their website and loading the tokens purchased by the customers, subsequent loading of tokens have become unbearable because the meters keep rejecting the tokens. I have been trying to load a token all to no avail.

I am calling out IKEDC to stop stressing Nigerians with their ineffective upgrade. They are not responding to mails, WhatsApp and their social media pages.

Who else is experiencing same please? I'm so angry right now!

IKEDC, stop stressing Nigerians please!! angry angry

Yeah, I think this is the problem. But how can I link my NIN when I am not the owner of the building and the landlord has ed away? I wonder what they are trying to achieve with this useless idea? 🤦🏼
Somebody must be in charge of the building. Tell d person to use his/her NIN for ur prepaid.
My father has ed on too and I used my NIN to for all our tenants.
Only landlords can use single NIN for multiple prepaid meter

Use *7024# send as text message to mtn or glo. The network provider will deduct #20 as charges. Follow their instructions and get your two kct send to you as text message and be happy

I tried it with my glo and it said service it available. I'll try again later. Thanks

Modified

I just tried it and it said meter number not available. I hope this won't be an issue that will need to be solved at their office.

for where? The token I loaded the day I imputed the KCT tokens has finished. I have been trying to load since midnight and it's rejecting. There's a neighbor of mine who works with IKEDC. I want to call her this morning if she'll be able to rectify it for me.
IKEDC will not stress me

Pls let's hear the outcome from your nepa neighbor oo

Got to their office by 7am, they were giving numbers already, I was number 89, was very annoying, I was lucky though, the security man helped me to generate my ktc code 1 and 2, after inputing it, he told me to buy a smaller amount of electricity, I bought 2k and loaded it, it loaded successfully, then I tried loading the other two I previously bought, both loaded successfully, Omo happiness full all my body..
Had to dash d security guy something and left smiling because the queue for that place no be here

you can imagine that! Many people are without electricity because of this nonsense upgrade. Some recharged successfully but the meters didn't supply electricity. If they cannot solve the issue, they should allow us use electricity without the meters.
The stress is just too much

this! I'm currently experiencing this. recharged successfully but no electricity supply! any way out of this pls??

It might be part of strategy to force people to leave the prepaid meter for estimated billing, because that estimated billing is where they can do their exploitations as they like.

Thank you for sharing d solution.

Visit their office and get it sorted out instead of bying. If you by, you're breaking the law and someone might even snitch on you.

Have you been to their office? It's more crowded than oshodi market. I don't know what they need NIN for

this is not the issue. Loading another token after that is where the problem is. Try to top up and you'll see it will reject it

this one is another problem entirely. Some people came to NEPA office to complain the same, infact I didn't know what the solution was before I left. I'll advise you ask an electrician to help you check your connection

I have a sis who work wit this people. She once told me every prepaid meter that is old will not scale thru this kyc stuff. The idea is to migrate everyone to the latest meter which looks like the calculator.

I had similar issues and immediately I linked my nin and I purchased from Opay I got my kyc and Token and since then I have not had any issues. Am using the latest Conlog meter

Finally, I was able to solve the problem. The thing is, I am using MOJEC matter, so I dont get those two tokens.
I followed the advice of nairalanders and went to generate ktc at https://www.ikejaelectric.com/kctcheck/
I entered the first set, pressed enter. Entered the second set, pressed enter.

Then I entered my token, and it went. I appreciate the good people of the land once again.
