Changing presidents every 4 or 8 years doesn't necessarily work for every country. Kagame is doing a good job and the people are happy with him.

He is a good leader otherwise there would have been a protest. I hope when he eventually leaves that office, an equally competent hand will take over. Rwanda needs those unifying leaders.

Angela Markel was German Chancellor for four . I didn’t hear anyone complain.
seborrhic:
After third term he would now get the parliament to amend the constitution to either limit term limits or even president for life.
These are some of the actions that fuel military coups in Africa, though the military guys that take over don't actually have plans to make the country and citizens better, they are just fuelled by the anger because they feel a small set of people have been enjoying their country's wealth and resources to the exclusion of another set of privileged individuals.

Which iron fist?

The people of Rwanda love that man and always say good things about him.

And Paul Kagame has been doing a great job in the country.

That's all that matters.

How can someone run more than two in a democracy and is Okay with UU
Laws are laws....u can't condemn illegality here..then uphold it elsewhere.

But then, sit tight leaders in one thing good government is another thing, Nigeria have been practicing democracy since 1999 till date yet nothing good to write home about but look at Congo, (Libya during Gaddafi) Cameron, Benin Republic father and son, even the so called Rwanda they all have great economic development than Nigeria.
In 80s how much is CF to naira, now how much is CF to naira.

sit tight despot
What is wrong with sit tight leadership? That is what took China and SIngapore to their current first world status. It appears to be doing same to Rwanda. Maybe your country should follow suit because it is obvious that the western style 4 year rotational system only serves power hungry politicians and not the masses.

Lol! No they don't. If they did, he would not be suppressing the dissent expressed by citizens inside and outside Rwanda. Rwanda is a police state. All Rwandese living abroad HAVE to at their embassy abroad and are heavily monitored

No matter how you are loved by your people, you leave when it`s time. Everything should have a limit and that is why we even have speed limit. Nelson Mandela did his term and left despite cries from his people to stay. No matter what, presidency should not be a lifetime appointment. But some African leaders remove term limit that gives them unlimited shot at power.
