I must commend the effort by our Super Falcons @NGSuper_Falcons at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Your brilliant performance did not go unnoticed despite the final outcome. You made Nigeria proud on the global stage! Bola Ahmed Tinubu We may have lost to England in a penalty shootout, but the Super Falcons have every reason to hold their heads high. I still have no regrets about skipping my breakfast for this game. #ENGNGR #FIFAWWC -AA Atiku Abubakar The resilience of our Nigerian team against England must be commended irrespective of the end result. We are super proud of you all. Emeka Ihedioha Despite the heartbreak of the penalty shootout, I am proud of the Super Falcons for their incredible journey in the #FIFAWWC . So sad to lose in this way. Working hard all day and then lost it to poor penalties. I still doubt whether Super Falcons prepared for penalty and drew up list of takers according strengths before this match. We had this match when England lost their first penalty but the managers order of penalty takers killed it. Still super proud of Super Falcons. Made the European champion English Lionesses look ordinary. Made Nigeria and Africa proud. Now, time to go for African Women Cup of Nations as the least compensation while preparing for next World Cup. NFF should swallow its pride and retain the manager to continue moulding the team rather bring in another new hands. 42 Likes 4 Shares |

England use the mind game to win… first they were overrating Assisat oshoala considering her popularity so that the attention will be shifted to her and her team thereby making them look like the underdog. They also know that Nigerians are very boastful in nature and exudes pride in any slight achievement. The chest beating has failed us 😭😭 1 Like 1 Share |

I'm never one to throw blames but immediately Alozie stepped up to take her pk, I knew she would miss it. Don't ask me how I knew but I've been watching football for a long time. I sincerely think the coaches failed to practice penalties in training which was obvious in his choice of pk takers. I hope they learn from this. It's painful because the clearly better team lost. They did us proud for 120 mins though. Meanwhile, See signature below for your next building project 3 Likes 1 Share |

HonNL:Blame the coach for the loss. Why bringing Michelle Alozie to take Penalty kick when she lost last minute opportunity to score when she came face to face with the goal keeper? The psychological loss didn't put her in the right frame of mind to take penalty kicks. Anyway, the ladies tried given poor preparation and NFF crass neglect of the team. Football House must be cleansed of corruption and deadwoods. 4 Likes |
