Techie recounts how a motorcylist he trusted and sent on errands organized robbers to attack him

In a Twitter thread, the man said he was so nice to the motorcylist that he even bought him another motorcycle to run his business. He said he was shocked when the motorcyclist walked up to him one day and asked that he educates him on how to carry out internet fraud popularly known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ He said the motorcyclist told him he was always home and made so much money so he believed he was into fraud. The Techie said he rebuked the motorcyclist and dismissed him.

He said two months ago, the same motorcyclist he had always trusted, organised people to rob him in his house.

Years back When I started making a little cash from Tech, I started staying indoors more.

So I opted to have a personal bike guy ( my worst mistake ).

He ran my errands & I was so nice to this dude, even bought him a new bike & gave him huge tips, he knew my home in & out, dude approached me later & asked if I was some yahoo boy & needed me to teach him cos I stayed indoors more but had funds to spend. I repelled anyways.

Neighbors warned me & My sixth sense gave me this hunch to get him off, but laziness no gree cos this dude could climb the mountains to go get anything I wanted.
Mumu me thought he was so loyal and wouldn’t harm me 😭

Fast forward two months, my home got robbed, You ain’t gonna believe, this dude I was super nice to was the one who instigated robbers to come rob me, this took me from 100 to zero.

Before I found out , they had already formatted & sold out my stuffs, cost me my job & Lost a lotta jobs and it almost ruined me. 💔

Long Story short, y’all be careful. Some folks can be so cruel irrespective of how nice you are to them💔

HOW DID I FIND OUT!!💔

So he ( my personal bike man ) introduced this Car mechanic to me who often serviced my car ( he was the one who even followed me when I wanted to go buy the car at the lot 😭)

the day my home got robbed. I had called this mechanic to come help change my gear oil cos he insisted he couldn’t do it the day before since i already drove it out.

He came the next morning to do it before I got out that morning .

When police folks asked me after the incident about folks who came to my house that day, I mentioned his name, so they arrested him, he confessed after days of his involvement with my bike guy and some others.

My eyes were so heavy with tears cos I couldn’t believe this dude I gave heavily to could be so cruel to wanna destroy my life… I even had planned to make him take WAEC and JAMB so he could return to school and I could help him through school apart from all I did .

Omo, thank God I bounced back, that incident took me to zero for months till I got a new job. 💔

I can relate, as a Techie who is indoor most of the time, they will believe you are into fraud.

The typical Nigerian mentality:
Once you’re a young guy living good and people notice you don’t have a 9-5 job and mostly stay at home, they automatically conclude you’re a Google boy lol

One supplying me woods has made me her personal ATM, because I always give her foodstuffs,it even got to the extent of them knocking on my door,and telling me nothing dey house o,the kids became irritants,and pesty.

They do come unannounced...knocking on my door,telling my kids to call me that they have nothing at home to eat,like it's only garri they sip,like anything I have I should just bring,say dem go manage.

Like my home became their succour,they forgot I also have a family hanging and surviving on my neck.

The mum even had the effrontery of wanting to search my kitchen because I told her I don't have foodstuffs to give to her.

The continuous desire for ease and not wanting to do anything except 'softwork' is dangerous.

Your cook, laundry man, security man etc... As much as possible control access to your privacy ooo.

E.g the bike man wey carry you go buy weed, same bikeman na him go describe the front of your house.

Yes u have to have a level awareness of people u work or interact too closely with. U may not know bt some are studying and reading u for information or weakness.

They studied ur house and know u live alone and other information they shouldn't ideally know. Next is to exploit it.

why should u bring a bike man or dispatch rider into ur house when he should stop at the gate?

Acting too nice to the wrong people only makes u a soft target.
