The Catholic Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Most Rev. Felix Ajakaye has tasked the President-Elect, Bola Tinubu to cut the cost of governance and initiate people-oriented policies in his istration.

Bishop Ajakaye, who said this in Ado-Ekiti, in a message to Nigerians titled “A New Us Is Possible In Nigeria” charged Nigerians to think and act positively as the incoming government is expected to take over on May 29th.

While calling on Tinubu to practice an inclusive government irrespective of the political platform, he urged the political parties to practice internal democracy for the growth of the country.

He said: “We need to continue to emphasize internal democracy in all the political parties for real democracy to be an avenue of good governance in Nigeria. Independent Candidacy is needed now more than ever before. I encourage the incoming istration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to promote politics of engagement, not politics of intimidation.
“Asiwaju Tinubu is to pray to God to guide him to be able to appoint the right people in the right places, and for him to do the right things at the right time. His own ‘Renewed Hope’ has to be meaningful, positive and concrete, but not like the outgoing President Buhari’s ‘Change’ mantra.

“The in-coming istration of Asiwaju Tinubu should engage in people-oriented policies and it should not abandon the necessary ongoing projects of the out-going Buhari government. In looking for the right path to good governance, Asiwaju Tinubu needs to choose and decide to do things right for things to be right with him and his istration.

“His must not be ‘business as usual’. His must be business unusual where the rule of law will be upheld for the benefit of all. I equally appeal to him not to allow The Presidency to be more powerful than the President. Nigerians would like to be hearing and see their President more than those he has appointed to the Presidency.

After the Inauguration on Monday, 29 May 2023, Asiwaju Tinubu should that he will no more be the National Leader of the All Progressives Party, APC, but the President and the Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I humbly urge him to reduce the high cost of governance at the federal level.

"Let us start to put an end to the culture of waste in governance in Nigeria. For instance, what is the essence of having a Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity and another person as a Special Assistant on Media and Publicity? This old way must stop.

“A New Us Is Possible In Nigeria. A new me is possible. A new you is possible. This is my submission as a stubborn optimist, stubborn positivist, stubborn builder, and stubborn encourager.
Let us be optimists against all odds. Let us value ourselves and our Nigeria for us to be valued and for the country to be valued. Always that you cannot give what you do not have. Value has a value only if its value is valued.”

You're telling a known criminal to cut cost of governance

You think say the $9Billion Tinubu has was with clear eyes?

It baffles me how much hope y’all put on Tinubu

It’s just like expecting a cripple to Win Usian Bolt in 500 meter race

Tinubu can’t give what he doesn’t have

A senile frog that travels to UK to recharge his urine chambers biweekly is someone you’re expecting to cut cost

An armed robber that has been taking 6billion naira monthly from Lagos treasury since 1999 is who you’re expecting to cut cost

A stranger from Irigbaji that held the real Lagos indigenes hostage, took their market signage and owns 50% of properties in Lagos with his family and kids all from Irigbaji

If you like place hope on Tinubu

Which Tinubu go cut cost of governance?

The one that moves with 50 cars in his convoy anywhere he's going? The one that set the trend back in 2009 for ex-governors getting unreasonably high packages from their states' hard-earned tax payers money as retirement bonus after only 8years as governor when civil servants doing the real hard for 35 years get only 60% of their salariess? Is that the one that will begin now to learn to economize for you?

Ok oo.

From all what has been revealed with this election, I simply accept that Nigerians are unfortunately not ready for the good change we're asking for. Otherwise, why would an healthy and educated adult with no history of drug offense be canvassing for a Tinubu unashamedly ahead of obviously better Osinbanjo, Peter Obi, etc?

Nigeria shall be great again during Tinubu's tenure.

One thing I know for sure, it can't be as bad as the last eight years.

it's not possible with Tinubu. A sickly old man? He will spend most of his tenure abroad seeking medical treatment, then he will have to compensate cronies and party men who shamelessly defended him. Then he will want to recoup some of the money spent for bribing and rigging of election. The story plenty

Are you saying nigeria was mediocre under buhari? Tinubu has a different opinion about the last 8years. It's either Tinubu lied or lying about buhari or you are lying. Which one?
