UnconventionalT: 6 months without any? response from the HO on a straightforward application is unusual, so the employer is not being unreasonable in setting a deadline. The solicitor should focus his efforts on getting information from the HO. He might need to file a SAR and also involve his MP. Sometimes this helps to accelerate an application if there are no extenuating circumstances. Your friend could advise his employer that he has engaged a solicitor to chase the Home Office and should hopefully receive a response soon. |

jedisco: LOL @ "your people". Your comments do make me laugh sometimes😂 It's a mystery what you're upset about this time ![]() Are you aggrieved that Kemi and other so called "anchor babies" obtained citizenship by virtue of their birth? Ndo....why don't you write to Reform and ask Nigel to investigate whether Kemi's mother paid the full hospital fees for her birth? If she didn't, it means that she wrongfully used public funds and I'm sure Farage and co would eagerly make a case for her citizenship to be revoked? I hope this would help to appease you? |

Cyberknight: Starmer won't be going anytime soon. Labour doesn't change leaders at the same pace as the Tories. Look how long they stuck it out with Corbyn for. They also have the unions to contend with. However, 1 year before the GE, if the public still isn't convinced by Starmer, we might begin to see some manoeuvring. I doubt "Big Ange" will get it though - the public dislikes her more than Starmer. Labour doesn't need to cosplay Reform or be nasty to anyone. The public just expects them to deliver on their promises which included looking after the vulnerable in society, improving public services and slashing migration levels. So far the public has seen them target the most vulnerable and disabled, public services in the bin (pun intended, ergo Birmingham) and migration levels still very high. Headlines around record breaking boat arrivals and proposals to house asylum seekers in rental properties, have been particularly damaging to Labour. I said it before that their problem is that they appear to be pleasing nobody - left or right, wealthy or working class. |

Any Nigerian bank one can open from here without having to travel home? The traditional ones are requesting for a lot of documentation… don’t want to repeat the process I went through with GTBank. Wants to remove my money from GTBANK completely. |

I don’t understand how some people think in that country. What has GTB got to do with EFCC arresting someone illegally? Is GTB that stupid knowing how much damage it would do to them? Also, there is no protest or noise in unison about insecurity, none for the terrible economy, a Christian girl was murdered in the North sometime ago, there is no noise in unison but they can shout/protest when a hand touch someone with a name. It is just stupidity in my opinion. wonlasewonimi: 2 Likes |

Lexusgs430: But there's a 6 month limit in each calendar year for most visit visas. Except the person keeps alternating every 6 months between 9ja and the UK I have heard of those who'd process a visit visa for someone and then pay them in naira - usually turns out cheaper than childcare/nursery even for 6 months. It's a tricky one as many recipients may be better off but it's still a breach of visit visa rules. Some seem to have an arrangement where the person overstays their visa and returns when dem don 'chop belleful'. It's all muddy and convoluted. Of late Canada introduced a home child care immigration pilot. However, they had to close it off as applications reached the annual limit in a day. |

OgbeniOptional: What protests or shouts or anything have you done in respect of the country's issues? Tally them up and list them against what the fellow in question has, and you might see why people are agitated about what happened to him. I don't follow the guy at all and have a long list of reservations about what and how he does things, but I do know that his advocacy has been helpful for many people. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Zahra29: Focus- there is no anger here. No need looking for a deviation. Like I've always said, the story of our world is one of migration. I do not see myself as being more British than Kemi or similar arrivals cos while I paid over £150k in taxes e.t.c, demonstrated good service and behaviour to gain my stay, her parents snuck her in before a deadline was due. They saw an opportunity and took it which I'd commend them for. Same applies across board. The crux of the matter here is how children grow up to forget their stories. If my son decides to settle in Britain tomorrow, I don't expect him to see himself as being of higher stock than those he'd encounter to the extent of calling them bottom wipers just because his parents arrived early. 2 Likes |

Goodenoch: I follow him and i watch almost all his vidoes, yes some of the things he says and do is not my taste but considering his achievements within 2-3yrs of ing social medial.. i'm ready to overlook his other...side. This guy fought for people with his money and legal team, paying many youths monthly to learn some skills, opening boreholes around the country, renovating schools, rescusing and returing young girls trafficked outside Nigeria..the list goes on. Why would i not him? 5 Likes |

Correct and it shouldn't be just one voice, all these types of energy are what we need to fix Nigeria not just when a popular face was arrested. I read somewhere a man was fighting for people not to jump the queue with an airline and the f people he fought for couldn't fight for him when he was bounced from that same flight but the same people are probably the loudest on their individual social media page now. justwise: |

jedisco: It’s typical human behaviour- Scarcity mentality and when you think those you imagine to be a higher stock than are supposedly doing better or at par with you. As a Christian one parable or story in the bible comes to mind about a master who employed servants to work for him, he went out in the morning and got some workers, later in the afternoon and evening he went out again and got more workers, meanwhile he agreed with them their wages and paid them but when the earlier workers discovered that everyone irrespective of their arrival got same wages, they went to grumble to the master about perceived injustice 😂. The master simply reminded them about their agreement. Na so life be o, bad belle dem, so it’s nothing new. 1 Like |

Zahra29: While I am unconcerned about your heritage and the discussion around it here, your usage of the word 'loophole' reminded me of your post above: It's interesting that you believe that a route to enter the UK and immediatley become citizens that your forebears took wasn't a loophole because it was fully legal at the time, but when others took another route that was also fully legal (as confirmed by the Upper Immigration Tribunal), you described it as a loophole that has been exposed, implying it was somehow shady. Zahra29: There's also this one where you referred to a fully legal route; the characteristics of which were stated clearly by the UK and even used to for foreign students to come study here, as a backdoor used 'by some nationalities.' Again the term 'backdoor' strongly implies deception. Those routes may have or will be changed in the future, but they were fully legal at the time, just like your forebears came and became citizens but that route was closed later. So my question is how come the route your forebears took was defintitely not a loophole because it was within the law at the time but when others used legal routes too, you believe they were using loopholes and backdoors? 15 Likes |

wonlasewonimi: GTB is a very useless bank normally. If it took verydarkman for some people to realise it that is good. I had a double debit that took two years to resolve in spite of having information when it happened and a signed confirmation from the seller providing an extract of the bank statement showing they only received the funds one. They only took the request serious after getting a lawyer and involving the D dept of CBN. A very very very useless bank 1 Like |

Goodenoch: 😂 similar question was posed to Aunty suella in her days of all the shenanigans as Home Secretary and she responded that her parents were legal or lawful refugees and you just wonder how you you define or differentiate an illegal refugee from a legal one. That’s how confused all these gatekeepers are. 5 Likes |

jedisco: Lol @ the bolded. Focus indeed...as if you're speaking to a child 😂 I see you've come up with a new phrase to galvanise your followers. "Higher stock" 😂 You really should try to rest from all these imagined grievances, it can't be good for your BP. Re her parents sneaking her in....you must surely know (I hope) that people who can afford it chose and still choose to seek privately funded delivery in the UK - whether it came or comes with a port. Legend goes that she didn't even know that she was entitled to a British port until later on in life so how is that sneaking her in? Do you even know what anchor baby means? It's when a baby is used as a means for the rest of the family to remain in the country, which doesn't apply in Kemi's case as her mother had no ambition to remain in the uK and willingly went home with her child after giving birth. As always, you don't let the facts stand in the way of your emotions. Like I said in my earlier post, whatever issues you have with her - if you think she should be more "humble" , or less British, or her parents exploited a "loophole" or whatever - take it up with her directly or report her to Reform. Kemi will very likely be replaced as leader next year so she should have time to respond to your many grievances. |
