Theres much more they have done but i can't begin to type.
We don't know what to do without looking like bad people or make it seem like we're sending them out.
Any advise will be appreciated.

then a few weeks after i got back, i saw on the news a Brit tourist died from an accident ing the same road i did.. the vehicle drove off the road.. scaryyyyyyyyy..

This incident happened in Sept 2022. Shortly after, My insurance company requested I pay £4,335 for repairing a car that I never had impact with, I reported to FOS a long time ago but lately, FOS claimed they do not have jurisdiction on the matter since the second Final response from the insurance company was not submitted within the “6months rule”.

The claimant presented a video that showed no damage to the said car. They canceled my policy and made me pay the remaining pro-rated amount on the policy which was 3 months old. I paid the remaining 9 months for nothing just to avoid issues. Only for them to come back after 1 month claiming they have settled the claim and I will be responsible 100% for the damages after they took the total policy charges.

I never had any impact with the car. They claimed a scrapping sound was heard in the video sent to me as evidence, but the details of the repair they did show otherwise. They said they replaced the car bumper and painted it, and how on earth will that be 4k+. While I was still in discussion with them, they ed the case to Debt Recovery which I explained I was not going to make any comment until the insurance company was able to present the video evidence. They later ed it on to a Law firm who ed and I explained all that happened and why I was not pleased with the amount claimed to have been spent.

The law firm now are requesting £4,335 since the Financial Ombudsman has told me they do not have jurisdiction due to the 6-month rule. Just want to get advice on what next to do as I do not have the financial capacity to pay such an amount while the Law firm now threatens with a court case.

I see your point and see the cliché as a guide which I follow on most occasions. However, life has taught me there's exception to every rule.
These days, on the occasions I lend, it's a sum I know would not be an undue burden on the recipient and one I know I could potentially forgo if push comes to shove. Moreso, I know who I lend to. All this has meant I've been able to help a greater number of people I'd otherwise have turned down.
