Hello house, I have a 4 year old daughter ( her birth was 4th November) and I want to her in reception instead of nursery which is recommended due to the fact that her 4th birthday was after 31st August. We just moved to the UK in September and she hasn't started school yet. I want to know if it's possible to her for reception instead of nursery. NB: my daughter was already learning to read in Nigeria, the things that are taught in reception she knows them already. I feel taking her back to nursery is like a double demotion.

There is dignity in labor and I love this country because you are respected in any profession, real respect I mean and your pay is a living wage, a wage that can make you drive good cars and even plan for the future. Just see how much mechanics charge?! DIY is so important in UK except u want to spend so much on little things.

I currently work at Amazon, my wife is on sponsorship and works in care. But I am also planning to go into /NHS, apart from another sponsorship route, I am genuinely beginning to see pathway to the top in health and social care. These oyinbos don't read much and they are quite comfortable staying on a spot, with our level of zeal and energy we can get qualifications faster and move up the ladder. A guy I know finished NVQ 3 in just about 2 months while his colleagues use 6 months on average...

In all of this, I'm still writing my Universally acclaimed ing certification exams... For me, this is a path I am exploring and so help me God.

My brother, i dont have the keys to the house after she changed it.
Now almost everytime i come back i have to stay outside for 1 to 4 hours until someone from the house is leaving or going inside then i follow up to enter.

Its crazy, the room is also cold with no furniture anymore as she took everything out.

You cant believe what this woman did to me on Sunday with her kids..
They came on Sunday to make mockery of me, with her two little kids of 4 to 6 years i guess..
All where insulting me and telling me how stupid I am and how I sleep in such room, man this kids where throwing insult on me with there mother to the extent that the kids later told the mother that am now looking like a depressed person that she should pity me..

It's really crazy what kind of person the woman is..
I recorded everything without her knowing my phone was on recording...
I really don't want to see this woman get away with all this act she did but I have to find somewhere else to keep my head and have a good sleep..
I have paid for a place now but I still want to collect my deposits and if possible sue her for not ing the deposit on a scheme.
Please if anyone can guide me on how to go about it, I will really appreciate it..

I need to tender my resignation in 24 hrs to fulfill my 1 month notice period. I don’t know if I should maintain the assumption that the NHS trust will sponsor me or I should just stay put where I am sure of CoS.

Where in the UK are you based - England or Scotland?

In England the rules are that the child must turn 4 by the 31st of August to be enrolled in the same academic year. So if your daughter was born in November 2019 then she isn't eligible to start reception until next year.
It's a very strict rule that isn't waived based on academic ability or maturity or other criteria.

Good day house, I was on a skilled worker visa but have been dismissed by my former employer, the company is asking me to pay 10,000£ for the COS, because I didn’t work 5 years with them, and they want to serve me court paper, please anyone know the kind of lawyer or knows a lawyer I can get in uk, I live in Swansea (wales) because they did not use up to 3000£ to get my COS, please I need any good lawyer in uk

Have your current employer put it in writing that they are going to sponsor you? If yes stick to your current employer, if no try and confirm with nhs if they are going to sponsor you before making any move. Don’t assume anything in this country, it’s what is on paper they go with

Whatever you do, do not resign until you receive confirmation that they will sponsor you.

When you say you need to tender your resignation in 24 hours to fulfill your notice period, why is that? Employment notice periods aren’t usually tied to calendar months so you can give your notice on the 5th, 10th or any date and it’ll terminate one month after. Doesn’t (usually) need to be on the first or last day of the month.

Since it’s NHS, they’ll ask you to agree a start date with the hiring manager and they’ll send you their information so you need to reach out to that person directly. The HR person won’t know if they will sponsor the role because it’s not a HR decision but that of the hiring service whose budget the sponsorship fees will come out from.

So in short, the hiring manager for confirmation.

Please DO NOT resign without confirmation.

Please dont be a hurry to resign to fufil one month notice. Not all nhs trust sponsors. Let them start the process of giving you COS first before reg.

Goodenoch has told you how it works. But this should have been discussed during the interview, send a mail to your hiring manager to confirm. Whatever you do, do not resign from tour current job until you have settled this issue. I can assure you some trust do not offer sponsorship for any role except Nurses and Doctors hired from overseas.

Hello elders, please I need your opinion on this. I got 2 offers with sponsorship. The first is with council in a day centre while the second is a Band 5 with the NHS but in Bristol. Considering how expensive Bristol is will it be wise for me to move there with the band 5 salary with my family? There is prospect for me to secure a higher grade in the NHS in future but I am just scared of because of how expensive Bristol is.

House rent is about £1,500 average while i stay in a town where i pay less than £1,000 for rent. We are a family of 4 and my spouse hasn't gotten a job yet.

If you really love the Bristol job, there are many affordable Cities around Bristol like Newport, Weston-super-Mare, Bath, Gloucester, etc. with easy cheap commute to Bristol

Your previous post isn't clear.

Isn't your visa tied to the employer?

Apply to the County Court.

With all the evidence you have (formal report to the police, council, removed door and furniture), you will get your deposit refunded plus the legal cost of filing with the County Court (£380 or so) plus added compensation.

You don't need a lawyer.

As soon as she receives a Court summon, she will be eager to settle out of court.

Was this stated in your contract? Did you signed any contract saying that you will pay the sum if you leave the company within a specified period?

My contract had a phrase that mentioned that I will pay 50% of my visa cost (see attached) if I leave the company within 2years of ing and immediately I resume they sent me the total cost of my visa and asked me to sign and return it. The total cost in my case was less than 3k

If you did not sign any such agreement then they don't have a case.

Also did they send a breakdown of the cost and how they arrived at the figure? If not request for one, you will need it. If they inflated the figure (which is illegal) you have a case against them.

I when I got my current job with the NHS, despite the fact that they confirmed that they will sponsor me, they said I SHOULD NOT RESIGN until I have a start date.

Not only you do not have a start date, you don’t even have a confirmation that they will sponsor you.

Na this kind case UNION dey like, but I doubt if you belong to any union. I will advise you to one even if you have a new employment. You never can tell when they will come in handy.

Try and ACAS and explain your case to them, they might have an advice for you.

she is eligible for reception class the term after her 4th birthday so I believe you are on track.
