In Lagos too. We saw the same thing. 7 army trucks....fully loaded. Around Maryland axis. Everyone was surprised in the bus. We didn't know what to say. Sumtin is cooking

People have never seen UN peacekeeping items in Nigeria and they think it's a big deal.

For your information, Nigeria regularly contributed troops and equipment to United Nations peacekeeping missions between 1960 and 2014. Nigerian Army vehicles are usually painted in peacekeeping colours when they are used for such operations and they often retain the colours many months after they have returned. I have seen this many times over several decades.

Therefore, there is no big deal about vehicles painted in UN peacekeeping colours in Nigeria. That's assuming that those pictures were actually taken in Nigeria.

OP this isn't a new sight. It has been over 6 years I began to see the UN convoy as well as Red Cross trucks bearing Ivorian number plates while travelling from Akure to Abuja. I believe they have been providing humanitarian assistance to displaced people's camps in northern Nigeria. So I don't believe there is malice in what you saw
