Candidate Zulum traveled all the way to Lagos to seek Tinubu's before winning and becoming the governor of Borno state, just imagine Tinubu having influence and able to determine who becomes the governor of Borno state all the way in the NE.

Do you know who took Zulum to Lagos to meet Asiwaju? The then governor of Borno state, Shettima.

What transpired yesterday in Borno state was payback because they North never forgets, they know how to return good favors, they always pay back in kind.

This is why Asiwaju is the most powerful and influential politician in Nigeria, he laid the groundwork for what happened in Borno yesterday so many years ago, now he's enjoying the benefits.

They went to Tinubu after Zulum has already emerged candidate, are you saying Tinubu influenced the choice of Borno voters to zulum's side? That would be an argument for kindagarten pupils.

It was more or less a formality and probably a mark of respect from Shettima, asides that, it carried no weight whatsoever.

Borno has been voting ANPP since 99, Buhari's party since 03, way before Tinubu started dreaming of expanding his tentacles beyond the coastal city.

Why does Tinubu needs a Shettima to win Borno if he could influence Borno voters choice of governorship, surely, he could have just made the 'clinched fist' himself and together with Buhari's endorsement, he would sweep Borno, and the presidency would be an easy peasy thing for him.
