Though some are mightier than others but all Gods have the same attitude when it comes to covenant keeping.
The African Gods are real but before the white supremacists invade our land worshipers of these Gods has broken the covenant between them and their Gods and as for the priests they were betrayed by the inhabitants of the lands so the Gods have no power over your enemies if you're not loyal to them.

You need to know the history of these Gods, how they came to be and settled in different geographical locations to dominate and become Gods over the dwellers of the places they dominate.
Throughout the history of mankind only the God of Abraham journeyed to a far distant land to singlehandedly fetch for worshipers without a military force but when His people broke the covenant between Him and them they became colonies under different nations like Assyria, Babylon, Persia and Rome.

Gods, (both the small and big letters, which includes our dear sango, obatala, chukwu, Thor etc) were all created by man, all to control their fellow man. Those were just nicely carved piece of wood with no divinity or supernatural attached to them. That's why the white man can gather them all in crates and dump them in their museum. All the gods you mentioned were past humans, who are long, long dead and gone before the slave trade era even began.

God is a human creation. What we've are superior, gifted mortals that lesser humans call gods/goddesses.

This is usually the issue I have with theists. Just because someone wrote a book about something, doesn't validate it. Again, anyone can write anything and some dimwits would imbibe it as gospel truth without verification.
