They have no incentives on staying, no allies again, no clear cut objectives, with logistical challenges complicated by a new unstable regime and spending millions of dollars without reasons, why would the Russian want to keep up its operation in Syria? It makes no sense.

I am expecting a total pull out over the few months/years. But probably to save face, they might want downsize operations keeping a low profile.

The Tartous naval facility is the only Russia navy means of power projection in the Mediterranean.

Same with the Hmeimim air base which as been a key base used by russia in it's "illegal" operations across the Middle East and Africa.
