As we approach the deadline INEC gives parties to send names of candidates, running mates on the 17th of this month, the LP, APC and NNPP presidential candidates are yet to submit their running mates to the 2023 presidential elections.

The Labour Party which is in discuss have had several failed merger talks with the NNPP to produce Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano state, its vice presidential candidate with both sides refusing to bow to the other.

The clock is tickling towards the 17th. And as a er of the Labour Party presidential candidate, I am worried for our great party and therefore wish to bring to the knowledge of the leadership some of the finest persons in the North that can help our great party win majority of the northern votes in the coming elections.

So I welcome all of our great party, the OBIdients youths and well meaning Nigerians to click the Like and share button on their preferred choiced candidate that I listed below. Hopefully our party leadership will see this article and act as fast as possible.

ATTAHIRU MUHAMMADU JEGA
Many people know Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega as a Nigerian intellectual with a zeal for excellence and a flair for Brilliance.
Attahiru Muhammadu Jega (born 11 January 1957) is a Nigerian academic and former Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, KANO. On 8 June 2010, he was nominated by then President Goodluck Jonathan as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), subject to Senate confirmation, as a replacement for Professor Maurice Iwu, who vacated the post on 28 April 2010. Jega was the only INEC chairman to oversee two Nigerian General Elections (2011 and 2015). Jega retired on 30 June 2015, handing over his position to Amina Zakari according to a directive by President.

Sanusi is a prominent traditional and religious figure in West Africa. As the Khalifa of the Tijaniyyah Sufi order of Nigeria, he arguably has a politico-spiritual authority over the second largest Sufi order, with over 30 million ADHERENTS. He grew up in the royal palace of his grand-uncle, and as a youth received both religious and secular education. Prior to his accession, Sanusi was an Islamic intellectual, academic, political economist and BANKER. Aisha Somtochukwu YESUFU (born 12 December 1973) is a Nigerian activist and BUSINESSWOMAN. She co-founded the #BringBackOurGirls movement, which brings attention to the abduction of over 200 girls from a secondary school in Chibok, Nigeria on 14 April 2014, by the terrorist group Boko HARAM. She has also been prominently involved in the End SARS movement against police brutality in Nigeria.

He would have been the best choice, but I don't understand what his royal background would mean to such role.

Ahmed Isah is actually good.

As things stand today, Peter Obi doesn’t even need the votes of Northwest and Northeast. Kwankwaso, Atiku and Tinubu will cancel themselves out there.

Jega too is good. If we begrudge him for bringing Buhari then we should begrudge Kwankwaso too.

Then Lamido can be convinced to choose Nigeria over his friendship with Tinubu.

That you don’t even know that Aisha Yesufu is a southerner says a lot about your knowledge of Nigeria.

From your list above, only Jega and Sanusi are core northerners. Sanusi is a former emir of Kano, he can ever ridicule the Kano emirate throne by deputizing an Igbo man.

Jega on the other hand is not a grassroots politician. Without the backing of major political leaders in the north, he can’t pull 100k votes. I even doubt if he will ever accept to become Peter Obi’s Vice.

Ahmed Isa cannot take the post. He already said he don't have interest in politics.. Aisha yesuf is not a real activist. She's only interested on who brings food to her table... definitely this should be between Jega and Sanusi.

Well, I think A very prominent/popular Islamic scholar in the North who is NOT a tribal/religious BIGOT is good to go for the Labour Party.

We have seen Kwankwaso's utterances lately. He is not to be trusted. Even if he accepts the position, he is not be trusted.

Kwankwaso has really insulted peter obi and his followers,anyway they will both lose

Am seeing jega on the list, is it the jega who betrayed Jonathan or should we expect another?

Sanusi is not an option too because he was dethroned, that alone tells you that he is a fugitive in his own land. People don't like or want him .
