How’s this even possible?

Nobody is making money from group search dates. Only lazy people pay agents ( who still have to these groups and look for dates on their behalf) to help them with that and there’s nothing anyone can do about this set of people. They are wired that way.

You can try doing it. Identify people who want to search for dates, allocate time to each person, and when dates are released, how do we know? Do we keep refreshing this page? WhatsApp is an instant messaging app. If I see a date, how do I quickly update the thread?

You can google samples of SOP in Engineering. Use it as a template. Explain why you want to pursue graduate education, why that problem, why the school and what you hope to get after you finish the program.

Side now, hope you know that MTU hardly fund students ? Not even PhD students.

No doubt about it, the thread has lost substance over time, I try to answer as much questions as I can, if I can. But people barely come back to post transcripts or their experiences which can as well help others. So it's tiring, it's more like a place where people just seek but don't want to give back.

I for sure never ed the WhatsApp group link posting on here. It was bound to defer the focus of this thread. Moving forward, I think you should ban those who post links here.

To pay for your SEVIS fee, kindly visit fmjfee.com to create a payment coupon (receipt). You'll need some details from your I-20 to such as sevis id, school code etc to complete the registration. When done, you'll need someone in the US to help you make the payment by simply sending the coupon to him/her.

Because really it's sad that with the situation in the country that you'll exploit someone due to your greediness, I was gonna pay an agent to get a date for nov/dec for interview, cause my mom hope is me getting there, and mind you I'm still awaiting port which has been in production for 8 weeks now since I did capturing and already have ission to the school for spring session, do you see how many months remain until then, it will be the Grace Of God, if I can meet up. WhatsApp group has killed this thread and many others, non will be allowed here. People create WhatsApp group for anything now not just date searching .

No agent can magically create date, them too spend time on the site waiting for available dates to show up...i when i needed a date and i almost paid 150k to one agency, i was lucky enough to get sense and checked dates for myself till i got a closer date before my program resumption next year summer. I repeat, agents cant manufacture dates. They do what everybody else is doing, which is checking the sites constantly and get paid for it.

A friend of mine is in a situation, needs profound advise.

He got accepted into Uni of A and Uni of B for Fall 2022. Uni of A offered him some form of scholarship, so he decided to pay Sevis fee using the I-20 issued by Uni of A. He couldn't secure a Visa interview date at the embassy and decided to defer his issions to Spring 2023. He got a date for visa interview for the Spring 2023 resumption (Visa interview date - November 2022). Uni of A is taking forever to issue him another I-20. He wants to switch to Uni of B for several reasons, which include the fact that he is being offered a scholarship that matches what Uni of A previously offered. Uni of B is his preferred choice was only sticking to A cos of scholarship offered.
Long and short, he wants to switch schools but already paid Sevis fee with the I-20 issued from the old school of choice. I know it is possible to transfer sevis upon resumption. Is it possible to transfer Sevis before visa interview or school resumption?
If this is possible, how can he go about it?

I used to be a regular Nairalander but moved to the US to do an MBA. (Moshom gave me tips for US visa interview, Sevis fee was from NL, even ed groups to check date lol, so basically paying it forward)

Just here to share information/tips if you are applying to an MBA program in the US. Most Nigerians here got 100% or 75% scholarship as long as you do well in GRE/GMAT. 650+/320 puts you in a good spot
