Staff of ministries, departments, agencies and parastatals are assigned to HMOs based on location and other criteria.

I'm in the East, and under Hygeia HMO

Addition of new dependants takes about 2 weeks to a month to come through after registration and documentation at the NHIS office. (Don't know if this is due to NHIS or the HMO).

No queues or delays when calls are put through at the point of use i.e Fast response time.

Code generation is fast too.

This is one of the issues I have with the current HMO they are using at my work place. Normally adding dependants no supposed hard like that ; all of those things are seemless on AXA.

This yeye HMO sef when u go to hospital, for everything the hospital's will be sending request for approval to them. If they ask u to do test they will send for approval, if they ask u to do scan they will send for approval, etc. The whole process is just too mechanical for someone has used AXA and another HMO that is now defunct. Those ones will give u a hip card which u take to the hospital and they will treat u ASAP. They will only ask u to sign a form when u are done and u are good to go.

People don complain tire give HR but I guess some people chop better inside that HR. Some powers that be no just Wan hear make dem change the HMO.

What I do is I have a very good hospital I use which I pay out of pocket and also retain the HMO hospital too Sha. I use the HMO to access dental care, eye care and those specialist services Sha.

i was using AXA mansard . as an oyel empoyee we had platinum. and it was good.

stay away from red care unless you only use reddington - they were always having issues with providers to the point patients were getting turned back if they used redcare.

I have used AXA before where I used to work in the past and their corporate plan is top notch . Their service was smooth and I had no complains.

Where I work currently dem Dey use one yeye HMO wey I no understand and almost everyone complains about them and their services .

I will still recommend AXA , tho I don’t know much about Leadway and Hygeia sha
