How Much Was In Your When You Started Your Building Project? (28807 Views)
Saved247: 1:33pm On Apr 14, 2022 |
I have been on this Platform since 2016 without ing just reading for knowledge and fun. But this particular write-up made me a member of this forum. YOUR MOTHER IS REASONABLE AND LOVE-FILLED. One luxury i haven't enjoyed is having/lived-with physical parents since i was 6months, both are alive though. I do not really have much in my when I started building. I was waiting till I muster enough fund to take the house to an appreciable level at once. My mum asked me to borrow her N70k for her business and I did. The next thing she called to follow her to the site and I found out she has already gotten 500 pcs of blocks and 10 bags of cement. That was how we started. She told me “You start by starting. Do all you can before your children start growing.” 1 started a year into my marriage and moved-in the next year. I was considering starting when I have about 50% of the required fund. donforeign:it’s the way to go if you’re on a budget, self imposed or otherwise. Bought my land in 2016 I think, moved into the bq in 2018 and finally the main house in 2022. Run your own race. 6 Likes |

zeenaman: A very intelligent post. There’s no set amount to have on hand and it depends on individual situation. The first step is to purchase land. You’ll figure out a way to continue just don’t compare yourself to others. 8 Likes |

Less than 1million. Just enough for foundation blocks. Thanks to Nairaland property section The more you wait, the more building materials increase and the little you have lose value. 6 Likes |

Rich people who are truly rich never have money in their s. They tend to use other people's money. If you measure your worth b ![]() Rather ask What is the maximum I can borrow today ? That should tell you what you are really worth If you are on your sick bed and are owing 10 Billion Not only your family will pray for your recovery but if you have 10 billion in your your family might not pray for you to recover. Debt is very good . IF YOU QUALIFY to get it. |

n3xt: You have an amazing Mom. In as much as your wife is your wife, don't let her come in between you and your Mom. And please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying your wife isn't a good person. I haven't started my building project yet because I want to raise it to a certain level at once. 4 Likes |

If you’ve got land, you can start with any amount . Depends on the kind of house you want to build. And good thing about it is that once you start , your mind will be there, you won’t spend unnecessarily again , go Dey fill like make u don complete am sharp sharp .. My advise to guys not making big money , Buy land, and starts buying the materials needed as the money dey enter small. If you’re waiting to get it done once , well , No be every wish Dey come through o, I actually plan to build and live in estate but my power never reach ![]() 5 Likes |

donforeign: Instead of going to Australia why not go into tech here instead? Go to coding school and have Australia and the rest of the world come to you in obodo Nigeria? I went to the USA but we didn’t have these opportunities then. I never even saw a computer in my life before I went to the USA. My house is a personal residence not a rental. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

I had less than a million naira when I started. Almost done. Truth is, once you begin, there's really not much that can distract you. Any 50k or 100k that comes into your coffers, you'll feel the burning desire to channel that money into the project. I've spent over 6 million naira now to get to finishing stage and I still don't a time when I put in more than 700k lump sum at once. 7 Likes |
