As bitter as it may sound. Unfortunately there is no "sovereign country" in the eyes of the big 5 countries with Veto powers, especially USA, Russia, and China. They can prey on other so called sovereign countries and almost nothing will happen to them. America has been invading sovereign countries even far away from their borders. Africa as a whole was shared among the big countries then for colonalization. And till now they still have high level of influence in the running of these states.
