Dont forget that the ref has issued yellow card before the guys behind VAR called him for red card check, there's nothing he could do, because the powers that be have made their stand that it should be a red card. Iwobi was just unlucky, it was not an intentional tackle, his eyes was concentrated on the ball and not the opponent's leg.

Iwobi has lost form long ago, he is an erratic footballer one reason he is on bench regularly in his club, how can a professional like you do such obvious tackle when nothing is astake just less than 5 minutes u entered? He just killed that match Abeg, and I blame coach for even giving him play time, which is a very expensive mistake we paid dearly for..

That tackle was unnecessary and careless for a professional footballer of his experience.
The reason why FIFA frowns on such tackles and punishes it,not even severe enough in my opinion,is that it can end a footballer's season and even career atimes.
There was no need for that tackle and Iwobi deserves everything he got.

Yes we lost to Tunisia but I believe in these boys.... Watching them play was beautiful, they are doing well just need more improvements here and there and those boys will be nightmare for any team in the world

The Referee was harsh, watch his actions from the start down till the end of the game you will see, how many times did Tunisia trip on us like that without giving a card were was the useless VAR when they trip like that on Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, we have seen such scenery on football recently no red card was issued, the law did not just state that any time it happens it must be Red, that is why there is always a review from the officiating crew before you give it a red card, that is why they make it a probability, the Referee was useless there was a scene when Ndidi made a and it was intercepted by the Referee, and the law states that if a ball is intercepted by the Referee a fair play should be awarded, did the Referee award it? No! Instead he was yelling at Ndidi, abeg the officiating was useless
