A Federal High Court in Abuja has nullified Senator Andy Uba’s and the All Progressive Congress’s participation in the last November 6 governorship election held in Anambra State on November 6 this year.

Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo, in a judgment on Monday, held that Uba was never a candidate in the election having emerged from an illegally conducted primary election by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Justice Ekwo held that the plaintiff, George Moghalu succeeded in proving that the APC did not conduct a valid primary election from which Uba claimed to have emerged as the party’s candidate.

The judge ordered INEC to delete Uba from its record as a candidate in the election.

He then ordered the APC to refund to the plaintiff the N22,500.000 he paid for expression of interest and nomination forms since the party failed to conduct a valid primary.

This is the failings of the State Chapter of the Party to put its house in order, just like Zamfara in 2019.

Wrong! It is the responsibility of the Buni led NWC/CTC to conduct the primary. If the report from the field indicated that something was wrong with the primary that was conducted, the CTC should have cancelled it and conduct another one that would comply substantially with the electoral guidelines and APC constitution.

This is Buni's shit and he should get the stick for it. There was a precedence in Zamfara that he should have learnt from. Enough of the incompetence. He should go by February.

I quoted you & someone else......The first person was bringing in the legal conundrum surrounding Buni's Caretaker status, it had nothing to do with this election.

Most oftimes than not, the National cannot conduct a successful Primary without the State Chapter ensuring a hitch-free exercise takes place.

INEC report leaked a day before the deadline, not to sing for Buni, it was an almost impossible situation. Anyways, if Oshiomhole gets some blame from Zamfara, Buni should get too as well.
