Dont be discouraged by all the negative comments. You have a neat case against the bank. They owe you damages. A good lawyer should be able to convict the bank, It's against CBN regulation to have debit without reversal for more than 24 hours. Consult your lawyer.

The fact here is that you need to understand that the bank is not individual, and while I try to empathise with you, and I know how hurt and terrible it could all feel but first of all, anyone you tell that you are pressing charges for this case would Prejudice you insane, honestly stuff like this can drive someone crazy but on the other hand you need to protect your mental health here cause no one will understand you and you would be drained along the line

This to you is not just about the amount but the fact that your life was in the line but God is the giver of life and thankfully you made it, if you press charges here, the judge might just order the bank manager to give you 2K, with the suposed accrued interest for for 3 months and subsequently send you back to the hospital so that you recieved the treatment, I know these things hurts but justice Is not based on feelings, your bank is going plead guilt and there is just little chances that the judge would slam them damages for a machine error.

I will advice that you the manager of the bank branch tell him that if nothing is done that you either go to court or do other things that's the best, all these while they had been serving you right, I don't think just this one time there happened to be issues is enough for you to press charges.

Op can actually make more than 2k+ damages from this if she reports to CBN. According to CBN, a customer ought not complain before reversing dispense error within agreed timeline.

If you moral to sue bank with evidence of unresolved problem with then.
Go that branch and make a heavy noise and shout at their customers care and see if that problem will not be resolved with 24hrs.

How did you lodge your complain? Is it by verbal communication or written communication? If it is by writing and you have the acknowledged copy, write acomplain to cbn and you will see Wonder.
Anytime you have an issue with bank don't complain verbally do it in writing and after 48 hours no issue resolved channel it to CBN.

Why don't you report this bank to the CBN through : [email protected]. ? You can pursue a legal solution too if your claims are solid and you have the financial means to prosecute it

Too bad, zenith bank tried that with me when they claimed they are having downtime challenge but I disturb them, took three weeks of constant daily bombing via their facebook and twitter s for them to reverse My 6000naira back

Mine happened just yesterday. Today they reversed my fund. This are the steps I took. Being zenith bank ...I visited their Facebook pages and I sent them private messenger chat . They responded and ask me to allow them 24 hours for resolution. When I didn't see it today ..I sent them another message and they responded that I should allow them 48 hours .I wasn't satisfied so I decided to visit cbn fraud unit to complain and I copied zenith bank via email .

After this I visited the zenith bank to fill dispense error form...immediately I got a response from cbn..they asked me for the complain tracking code that my bank gave me ...the moment I demanded for it, e no rich 10 minutes , they reversed the money

It's better not to sue them cus you will lose the case
