EPL: Man Utd board identify four managers to replace Solskjaer

Manchester United’s board have drawn up a shortlist of four managers as potential replacements for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the UK Sun reports.

Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte are both leading the race to replace the 48-year-old.

But United are also considering Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers and Erik ten Hag of Ajax.

Solskjaer’s future is the subject of intense speculation, following a 5-0 thrashing in the hands of Liverpool on Sunday.


The Norwegian may just be in his final days as United manager.

The club have drawn up a four-man shortlist of potential successors including the out-of-work pair Conte and Zidane, as well as Rodgers and Ten Hag, who they would need to lure away from their current clubs.

United chiefs are said to have told a prominent agent to get in with several leading managerial names to discern their contract demands and vision for United if they took over.

The Red Devils are however reluctant to sack Solskjaer, having handed him a three-year contract extension in July

My first choice would have been Ten Hag but he is a future Barca Coach.

Give it to Conte......He can get a trophy in 2 years.

Zizou has his eyes on PSG or Deschamps' job. Ole's coaching staff should all be swept outtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt of the club.

for me the best candidate for the job is Conte

How cud they have been stupid , handing him a 3 yr deal in July cos he finished second and got to Europa league final... second place cos they were loaded with lots of penalties , over half of Bruno goals were penalties ... Bruno only scored 7 goals from open play last season... a team that conceded 53 goals last season and they still gave him a 3 yr contract...oh my ....smh... in 2019/ 2020 , they got a whooping 22 penalties....this fraud of a coach was living on penalties and now that it has dried up, he has been exposed

The board should have a rethink on this issue. Ole is the man for the job. He needs time to build a formidable team that can compete with the likes of Liverpool, chelsea and Mancity.
The 36 year old fraud AKA Mr champions league should be held responsible for their humiliation at the hands of liverpool fc over the weekend. His work rate off the ball is nothing compared to the rest of his team mates. Infact he should be loaned out to Newcastle United next season.
