I have been sitting on this since 2019 and i finally decided to give it a go and what a fking ride it was!. I have never been so enthralled by a pilot of a show in a while as this, a fast paced neatly written 1 hour intro into the subject matter that immediately sucked me in to digest the whole show in one sitting.

The show is set in the period between 2019 - 2032, projecting or "prophesying" if you will, on how fluid the world has/will become touching on subjects such as politics, sexuality, AI and CGI use, Climate change, economic collapse, Immigration mess etc. The Lyon family, a family based in Manchester, UK, set as the base for the various interloping plot lines that brilliantly touch on all these subject matters with a soothing and yet terrifying score to properly drive home the narrative. Some of the narratives of the show are already happening now!, like AI taking jobs, the mass immigration crisis from people developing countries 3rd world to developed countries, and it shockingly touched on the Russian - Ukriane conflict a bit, that I had to actually check that this show was infact made in 2019 and not 2023....just brilliant brilliant stuff!

BBC and HBO already make good shows on thier own respectively, but imagine them combining to make this? it's total flames and magic from start to finish.

Highly... Highly... recommended

Shït just looks kinda disted this season and a little too fast paced in the last 3 episodes.
It was still enjoyable tho, but it's lost that thrill, that mystique the first season had.

Besides only one half of the organization wanted the plane to crash so they can make more money and was already dealt with. The call about her kid being sick in school came before Sam even got inside the cockpit and her colleague didnt want to tell her because she was on the phone with sam and had enough on her plate already to worry about, it wasn't anything serious which was why she held back the information and only told her when they had finished dealing with the crisis.


The story is done and dusted, If there is going to be a season 2 its going to be Sam the main character with a new set of people handling another high stakes situation but definitely not another hijack coz Idris Elba already said that if season 2 will happen, it will be in a completely different setting from season 1 Kinda like Amazon is doing with the Reacher series.

Manga just refers to Japanese comic books. They're the major medium from which anime are adapted. The Hunter x Hunter manga is the source material from which the anime is adapted, and so is ahead of the anime in story.

It's also on hiatus (on pause) due to the mangaka's (writer) illness.

Most anime are adapted from manga (japanese comics)

Hunter X Hunter has a manga where the anime is adapted from...same as how Naruto has a manga and Attack on Titan too
