NEWSEbubeagu vs ESN: ‘Focus on the enemy, don’t be rivals’ – Ohanaeze calls for calm Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has called for calm over the worry being expressed in many quarters on a possible clash between the Eastern Security Network, ESN, an outfit established by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the about to be launched outfit by the South-East Governors, Ebubeagu. DAILY POST reports that the Governors at their meeting in Owerri, the Imo State Capital on Sunday, announced the formation of the regional security network. But the development has attracted concerns among the residents of the zone over a possible clash between the two outfits. The IPOB has also come out to warn that any operative of the Ebubeagu who spied on ESN would meet their doom. Reacting, the Secretary-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro advised against in-fighting, stating that there was need for a collaboration to protect the region. a He said Ohanaeze “s any security attempt or arrangements that will help Ndigbo to curb the nefarious activities and violent killings in the Southeast by the murderous extremists- killer herdsmen. “We accept both the Ebubeagu ‘Security Network’ (ESN) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN), as both were craftily designed for the territorial security of Southeast and should be ed by every Igbo man. “It’s a blessing in disguise that Southeast has two security networks against a common enemy- killer herdsmen/terrorists.” He said the organization was aware of “the desperation exhibited by external detractors trying to foist crisis, distrust the process and create egocentric tussles between IPOB’s Eastern Security Network and Southeast Governors’ Ebubeagu Security Network. “Ohanaeze Ndigbo congratulates both the Southeast Governors and the IPOB on their attempts to forestall further killings and violence in the Southeast. We will tirelessly enforce understanding and harmony between all stakeholders in the Southeast on the need for peaceful coexistence between “ESN and Ebubeagu” in defending territorial integrity of Southeast.” Security is local, every Igbo man should understand the perilous situation Igbos are in for. We Igbos and Ipob are not against Ebubeagu by southeast Governors,What we are against is if the motive is to counter ESN,because circumstances surrounding the formation of Ebubeagu is suspicious of evil plan by FG. The very reason IPOB has come out to warn "that any operative of the Ebubeagu who spied on ESN would meet their doom" We Igbos are solidly behind that statement,because a bird at hand worth more than thousand birds in bush. We can't choose security without Personals over Security with men and well equipped. What gun will the Governors equip their men,dan gun or pump action to fight terrorist with Aks. Again who are they going to employed as Ebubeagu security men,are they not the same Igbo youths that want Biafra. South east Governors should be more bordered if they will be able to maintain and control Ebubeagu security men if equipped. I read somewhere that Massob promised them 5000 men,who are those 5000 men? Na biafran boys which Nigeria security have killed thousand of their . Southeast Governors should know that Ebubeagu may not be like Southwest Amotekun,or less they are planning to employ hausafulanis and yoruba one Nigerians as Ebubeagu men. Esn and everyother group is welcome to the party to partner with the SE regional security outfit Ebubeagu. But expecting a militia created by a seccessionist group to be our regional security outfit is dead on arrival. The Ohaneze should also be aware that a regional security outfit must be generally debated and agreed on, just like the only legally authorized one we have Ebubeagu, ipob has no business creating anything for Ala Igbo, they are just a seccessionist group like massob, BCG, Bzm. If BCG creates a militia and tags it the regional security outfit for Igbo , will ipob and their leader accept it  so why should we accept their own militant group as a regional security outfitI am not an ipob member so they have zero right to create anything for me. |
