A man who was declared missing after going hiking with a group in Nasarawa has been found dead, Igbere TV reports.

Friends and family took to Twitter early on Sunday, Jan 24, asking for help in finding a man named Stephen Tikya.

They explained that he went on a hiking trip with a group to Farin Ruwa Waterfall in Nasarawa state on Saturday, Jan 23, and didn't return home.

Unfortunately, a friend returned to Twitter hours later with horrible news.

"It’s so unfortunate His body has been found. Thank you so much guys," a friend who had announced him missing wrote.

And none of his friends didn't notice his disappearance ? Hummmm..

Hiking especially in Abuja is no longer what it used to be. It is now a group of young boys and girls who go out to seek fun and make new relationships. They seldom follow guidelines for professional hiking rather, they concentrate on their body-hugging and revealing clothes. It has been mesmerized by a generation that knows nothing about the sport.

P means plan. Don’t move until you have a plan. (If and when you do move, do so methodically and observantly.) If you whistle, might someone hear you? Do you have enough daylight to try to retrace your route? Should you consider building a fire because it is almost dark?

And finally – can you make a call? Can you text? If you do get through, can you tell anyone where you are?(SAUCE)

Please let's get the facts o. He went with a group, he wasn't missing , he drowned at a water fall all efforts to saved him by fellow of the group proved abortive as the current was so strong and he was carried away. Professional divers where the ones who retrieved his body the following day. Also this particular group this is the first time such incident is happening because before every hike scouts go to scout the place and seek out safe areas and areas to avoid. This was just an unfortunate incident.
