The Federal Government has assured Nigerian youths that the End SARS protests will not be in vain, IgbereTV reports.

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, said this on Sunday via his Twitter page in celebration of Maiden National Youth Day.

According to him, the time had come for Nigerian youths to sit with the government and deepen their initiatives to effect a change.

He wrote:

"Today, on the occasion of the National Youth Day we showcase to the world 10 winners of the 60-day APP challenge competition and 5 young innovators in different fields. 15 youth who represent the lot and remind us of the power and potentials of our youth as a country..."

"With the Protests that have occurred across the country Nigeria stands at the cusp of change in youth development. Already, that change has begun. What is needed is to deepen the youth initiatives and accelerate the onboarding of beneficiaries in a transparent and effectual manner"

"The protest of our youth shall not be in vain. It is time to engage government constructively. Come to the table. I sat to the youth -Your time has come."

It will be in vain until the youth do these things

1.Set up visible political goals

2.Get goals that are simple and acheivable.

3.Make an appeal to the rural youth, the Northern youth and the lower class youth. These sets of people are not convinced. Convince the Northern youth in particluar that it is in their benefit, and not just a plot to remove Buhari.

4. Get into politics. Be prepeared to wait and to lose.

5.Never give up

Come 2023, the same yoots will be the ones campaigning and killing themselves because of #500.

I've sat down to ruminate where we got it wrong, and it was glaring that it isn't the old cargoes in office, though they are part of the problem.

An average Nigerian is selfish, greedy and after himself and his family. If there is no system where leaders are checked and held able for their failure, nothing will change.

It's not about age, tribe, or religion, it's the system. There is a huge flaw in the system. If this flaw is not fixed, no amount of protest will change anything.

Just because of the little protest, one ball of onion is now #100. Transport fare has doubled in price.. Nothing is the same.

I can only imagine how the poor are surviving in this current state of things.

It's well...

Here comes one of the few OBJECTIVE POST ON THIS THREAD

Even if it was just one (1) youth that was killed
It is a very BIG issue for some of us with brains and souls,
If it was 7 youths as it was reported by the genuine protesters at Lekki, it is still so sad,
and if it was 78 or 100 youths as it was circulated all over social media,
We deserve to know the whole truth as a nation.
So we can know how to table our matter to the international community.
We want to know what is true and what are lies.
We dont want to accept any lies from the Army and at the same time, We don't need some people (celebrities et al) fueling fake news on this heated country now.
We are not fighting against Nigeria,
We are fighting for Nigeria.
#IStandWithTheTruth
Some Nigerians are waiting for what is the truth.
#IStandWithAPeacefulProtest.
#AGoodCountryIsAllNigerianYouthsWant
Again,
We are not fighting against Nigeria,
We are fighting for Nigeria.

Conscience is an open wound. Only the truth can heal it.

The Good people of Nigeria deserve to know the WHOLE TRUTH of this Lekki issue now.
Heads must roll!

Up till now, many Good Nigerian citizens with an open mind don't know what to believe.........still!

Dchampion65:
God bless you really good
Amen.
Thank you so much.
God bless you real real good too!
You are a Champion indeed! wink

Eillyeillz:

You sir are wise. God bless you.
Amen.
God bless you too sir.

Believe Political Promises @your own peril!!!

The only way to be sure of the protest not been in vain is to be actively involved in all the policies been istered around you as a youth from Local Government To State Government....and come 2023 Election make sure you vote out these complete bunch of incompetent politicians that parade themselves through God Fathers instead of showing their honest services to the Tax Payers!
2023 should be about the Capable Young Politicians with emphaty and know-how been elected meritoriously!!!!

It's high time this Old folks like Sunday Dare stop posing around as youths @50yrs+....Very Laughable!!!

Proactivity Leads To Productivity!
