*Schools Could Be Shut As More WAEC Candidates Tests Positive For COVID-19 In Gombe State*

Since the WAEC commencement on August 17th, 2020, 11 students writing the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has tested positive to the COVID 19 virus in Gombe State.

As cases increases, all students who tested positive to the virus are under careful supervision and are also isolated in the state specialist hospital in the state.

The virus won't prevent them from writing their exams, as they continued their papers from the isolation center.

After the news was confirmed yesterday, Idris Mohammed, the chairman of Gombe State COVID-19 task force has stated that 1 student out of the 11 who tested positive has tested negative and has been released.

Idris Mohammed also stated that 9 students attending Government Girls Secondary School, Doma, tested positive to COVID-19.

Upon the guidelines given, some students still ed the virus. "There must be more vigilance in the education and other sectors", the Presidential Task Force stated.

We hope all students who tested positive to COVID 19 to recover soon and live their normal lives, but as for now all schools should be shut apart from the examination candidates, all other classes should remain shut before our children will become the next positive covid 19 patient.

Don't mind the selfish ppl clamouring for school shut .
As if school is the issue here.
It's obvious the government is avoiding something
