The whole process has been very overwhelming. My family and I have been at it since 2016, 2 visiting visas refused(2016 $ 2018) previous Study permit refused(2019) in between I had 3 yankee Visa refusals(2018 & 2019) despite being a frequent visitor.
In January 2020., my husband got his Canadian visit visa(5year validity) after his 4th Application and guess what, his application took 12 working days. I attempted PR, wrote iElts once in 2018 ( R: 9 L: 8, S: 7.5,W: 6) but Age(currently 38 yrs) and 2nd degree were factors that didn’t work in my favor.

Hello everyone, please did anybody else apply for a co-op work Permit? My school already sent a letter to me, my visa is not out yet. Can I apply for it now or I have to wait till my visa is approved?

A study permit comes along with a work permit. Does your program have a coop in it. If yes, it means when you applied for the visa you must have indicated yes your course requires you to work. You dont apply for the work permit separately from a study permit

The Accra VAC has responded with the list of documents needed for the process. It's completely at your discretion to go ahead or wait until the VAC in Nigeria reopens. I have said it earlier on this thread, I know three (3) persons who used his route to submit their ports and have gotten it stamped and returned back to them. Thus I decided to share the information with you guys.

Business statement is not compulsory but if you’re a business person then you need to show your business registration documents as the source of your fund.

You need to show source of funds. Payslip if you’re employed. And business registration documents if you’re an entrepreneur

Hello House,

Please I am planning to study in Canada for my Masters in Computer Science (University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan or Memorial University). I finished my B.Sc in 2015 and since them focus on my business. I own an I.T Company which have been running for 8 years now and its doing really well. in of properties: I have a 2 Unit 3 Bedroom Flat Building, My personal house and lands in different location in Nigeria. I am also happily married with a kid(1year old kid). I needed to give this background information so that you can understand my plight. I can also comfortably set aside N20m to N30million for my 2 years stay in canada with my family (wife and a kid).

Here are my questions:

1. Does travelling along with my family (Wife and kid) affect my visa application, since i have to prove that I will return to my country?
2. If you have had success traveling with your family on a student permit, please what are the documents you put together for your visa application.
3. If i decide to go alone and want my wife and kid to me in like 2 to 3 months, is it possible? if yes, how do i go about it.
4. If my wife should come via visit visa will she be able to convert it to work permit visa and stay with me over there since i have a study permit?
5. Should i go about the travelling process online myself or engage a travel consultant as i have seen a lot of testimonies here?

Alright since ur program has a CO-OP, your skool should av given sent u the Co-op letter together with ur ission Letter which u gonna at the Evidence Of Work Requirement in Study Column.

Evidence of Work Requirements in Study ( Co-op Work permit information) is a letter from your school - This will show up in your dashboard if you selected "Work as a Requirement of your study ( i.e Co-op letter)" when filling your questionnaire, if you didn't, don't expect to see this ing Column

- IRCC do Background Check, so it does entail all of that

In a Nutshell,

Be 100% Truthful about your DOCUMENTS & SOP Content

- make sure every content you write in ur SOP has an evidence/proof i.e Documents

- In the other way round, u gotta talk about the documents u will as well in ur SOP

- Avoid any Form of Assumption as regards your Study Visa Application cos VISA OFFICERS are very unpredictable and make some decisions based on their discretion
