I have a family of 5 (Me,My wife,2 kids below 4 years and a maid below 11yrs
I am confused really want to know if my wife is not manging funds correctly..please how much should be okay we can spend in a week or in a month
I really want to know if I am wrong or my wife is wrong...

Expenses are dependent on your location and cost of items in your location. For instance, things are costlier in Portharcourt than in Kaduna or Kano.

Secondly, you failed to mention the area you're concerned, is it feeding expenses or general expense which might include transportation to work and back, money for hairdo, electricity bill, water bill, gas refill and what not, the list is totally endless, so please be precise with such enquires.

She is not not doing all the jobs,what she does is washing plates and bathing my children..that's all.
I help her parents to train her in school

120k per month should be ok.

They are all gonna be well fed,looking hale and hearty including you.

No matter how you guess, you can't get it right unless you take it up on your self to handle it for three good months

There are some reasons why it's confusing

If there are bulk food stuff at home, then it's lots easier to calculate

If there are no bulk food stuff at home, it's more complex to calculate

But I think you ought to know if wifey is extravagant or economical

On the average, 50,000 can be enough without food stuff and 30000 with food stuff at home, excluding provisions but including bread for breakfast

Your children ate still small, I don't think you will be having issues feeding them no matter your budget

If you and your wife are doing big guys but giving them more of cereals and their ages are above three years, then that's where the extra cost is coming from

After two years, a normal child should eat what other family are eating

Left for children, they don't like agricultural food, they prefer cereals, beverages and noodles.

You are the one providing not them, though it's time you let them know what is good for them and enforce it, with the sight of a cane, they will cooperate

A girl below 11years shouldn't be bathing kids under 4years, you can train someone's child without the child leaving with you.You seems to be very comfortable with that.I don't want to deviate though but can't you and madam take care of your kids alone?

It's because of her work,I stopped her and opened a shop for her beauty makeup..at least now she will take care of them

If all she needs to buy are soup ingridents, she should be able to manage 20k for a month but with food stuffs like yam,bag of rice etc,she should be able to mange 40k at least food stuffs can last you guys for at least 2 months or more.
