They are looking for free farms to feed their cows, thats why they are apprehensive.

If them burn Sarkin well, make them try create tension whey go generate IDP camp. Na cane them go use flog go back to kano......Olodo sarkin

No no not fair..

Why stopping their herds from grazing?
why introducing anti-grazing law?

That state belongs to all of you people like Nigeria.

There should be understanding and parley.

Buhari a fulani is president, Osibanjo a Yoruba man vice president and it has been benefiting you both.

Please they should be allowed to graze freely on lands.

It means beef and ponmo are going to become more expensive.

However lives and properties are more important than expensive beef and ponmo.

Blue3k:
These lawsuits are a waste of time. It didnt work in Benue and wont work in Oyo. It's precedent at this point.

Lol we finally see an honest person among them. They only oppose ranching because they dont want to change business model. I agree farmers should put up cheap barbwire fences to keep these guys out.

Nigerian leadership dont care about cheap beef. If they wanted cheap beef just lift the import ban allowing Americans beef into country. They FG doesn't even bother enforcing ecowas rules on herdsmen showing they aren't interested in health or safety.

Even when destroying others farmland ?, because they are of the president tribe ?, open grazing is outdated, ranching is the order of the day

Hypocrisy, but the core northern governments banned the open sales of alcohol in their states and no hell was let lose despite the fact that they share in vats collected in sales of it
Sterope(f): 2:42pm On Oct 24, 2019
Of course, the government does not care about the cost of beef. That was not what I was driving at, your reply did not point the herdsmen are trying to make.

These cows are mostly owned by those with money including your government officials. They can afford to build ranches. However we should expect the cost of beef to rise. Any measure that would end the present issues between locals and herdsmen should be encouraged even if that causes the price of beef to rise.

It is simply this issue that threw up IDP Camps in Benue. And we don’t want all this to happen here in Oyo State where we have been living peacefully with our fellow farmers for ages.

And this folks, is all they (Fulani marauders) know and are good at in addition to speaking from all sides of their mouths! After claiming that it is the implementation of this law that threw up IDP camps in Benue - a massive lie since the attacks had already reached dizzying heights before the state formulated and ed this law - they are saying that the state government should stop illegal fulanis from causing mayhem. Who do they want to deceive? Did any Christian stop them from their Sharia? As Kano keeps destroying alcohol and arresting hotel/brothel owners and workers, who has raised alarm? Greedy selfish things.

Huge INSULT, not your state, when will this insult stop against the south? Southern States?
Re: Fulani Herdsmen Threaten Legal Action Against Oyo Assembly Over Anti-open Grazin by Nobody: 2:44pm On Oct 24, 2019
I can never be surprised by anything that Fulani herdsmen do or say in Oyo State.
During Buhari military regime, the then Oyo State military governor, Oladayo Popoola, perhaps as instructed by the Federal Government , had introduced an expenditure line in the state's lean education budget called Nomadic Education to cater for Fulani children in the state.

I don't know which state in the North had a special consideration for non-indegenes or their businesses.

Buhari has been bullying the state since 1984.

They are not just gaining grounds,.... I don't know if any Southern state has them more than Oyo. That's what informed their effrontery! Emergence of PDP government is proving to be God's own way of liberating the state.

I see Oyo state as not been grateful to hausa fulani for their good deeds.

Nope. Crop farmers are not obligated to fence their farmlands because their crops won't walk around and shit everywhere and tres onto someone else's property.

The Fulani herdsmen are just being very very silly.

They should be happy that the state is going the route of legal means. If the people should rise up in anger against them, not only will they lose their cattle. They will also lose their lives.

I didn't say they obligated to. I said they should. You protect your property from invaders. Its no different from building a fence around a backyard or locking doors. If they dont want to or can't afford to that's their businesses.
